sebastian

Ya sure theirs physics and stuff but this isnt just ur regular marine. This is a spartan he is stonger faster and more accurate than regular soldiers so I do think that he can handle the recoil to make the accurate together.

  • 06.27.2009 7:35 PM PDT

Which is why marines can't dual wield altogether.

This thread needs more attention. I can't believe that people care more about time travel than a logical idea.

(-_-) Bored Face

I don't really want to get rid of dual wileding, but that doesn't matter this seems like a great idea to fix balance issues.

I also am pretty sure that if the shotgun was more powerful (in terms of range) it would still be better.

The main point of this is to allow dual wielding, but to still have powerful and accurate single wielding weapons.

Good idea. I liked the way that, in Halo CE, the lack of duel-wielding made the weapons feel more like weapons. It probably won't make much of a difference, but I like this idea. Good thinking.

What do you mean that it won't make much of a difference?

sounds ok to me.

i really hope we see a legit M6D in reach, not a retarded version like in h2 or h3. maybe you lose the scope when you DW or something. same basic concept.

yes because i want the halo games to make a turn to more realistic game play. such as more recoil, more camera movement while moving, damage on armor, stuff like that.

Thank you at least three people here want a more realistic Halo

Laggen' ain't easy

This Idea is an extremely great solution to a problem that has been bothering me since DW has been added. I really hope this implemented in some way. This way of doing it is a perfect balance. It seems like common sense,, especially when you mention that most of this is based on simple physics. 7 foot super soldier or not,, physics STILL apply.
Great idea OP. This one of the few good ones in this forum.

I think the plasma rifle by itself is still totally worthwhile to carry around. I pulled off a overkill not dual wielding, just switching between weapons and beat downs.

The SMG rarely shines by itself because the assault rifle almost matches it at close range. A good idea would be recoil causing the cross hairs to get bigger as you shoot dual wielding. When holding a weapon separately, a Spartan should be able to shoot with little effect to aiming. That way when firing in bursts in dual wielding is accurate and a single weapon is just as accurate if not more.

I just hope there are interesting changes to Halo, and how we play it.

So basically do the same thing as Counter-Strike and Perfect Dark Zero, except make the weapons useful.

BTW. Last time I checked a single SMG can beat an AR at close range. I would like to see more powerful plasma weapons though.

I would like to see a movement penalty on the PR, and diminish the range of the auto-aim on the PP and needlers.

  • 06.28.2009 12:46 PM PDT

Yes I did think of it myself.

Ninjabag the tea-pirates!

I don't want to join your group.

A single weild SMG is just as powerful as an AR (well actually it's about 1/1000 weaker). Watch this vid-http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VkQ5sPQZUbw&feature=relate d

But those weapons do not stand a chance against the BR or other head shot weapons. And in real mach making conditions, you will never have those results.

This basically allows for more powerful weapons that can kill faster. Therefore, people cannot complain about having a bad spawn weapon.

Also, most of these guns require a melee to get a quick kill. This allows for guns that do not require a melee.

That is the whole point.

This would make gameplay a lot more fun. There will still be more variety in the entire weapon sandbox, as well as having weapons feeling like weapons.

it doese'nt look nextgen , looks good but not nextgen
If by next-gen you mean crappy, dark and colorless, I agree. It doesnt look next-gen at all.

Would you want us to be able to hold 2x as much ammo as now, or only have the max. amount of ammo from one weapon (plus whatever you find in the second gun you pick up)? I think it would be better if we keep the same max. ammo as you would have in a single weapon.
The gun doesn't have the ammo so they should keep the max ammo the same. Except for plasma weapons.

liek omg u guyz...

omg ponies (ok ya it aint that bad imo)

GRRR IM RIGHT UR WRONG AND GHEY LOLOLOL UR GHEY

lova ya internet, never change :D

Yeah this is the way it should have been done.

I really hated how weapons like the plasma rifle and plasma pistol were made so bad. They should have stayed the way they were in Halo 1, you know, when you could actually kill someone with them (no melee needed).

PP overcharge shot doing no damage to health is stupid as well.
