All the soundcards I see are PCI interface. Will they work on a PCIexpress board? Which one is the best for the price? I have the new logitech X530 speakers.

If you have a board with PCI-express, don't worry. There's a PCI-e 16x, usually a couple 1x, and then standard PCI 32-bit slots. So yes, it will work. The PCI slots are the white ones that are a tad taller than the other PCI-e slots.

awesome, what brands make the nicest sound cards? I saw some CREATIVE ones that were pretty sick for only 50$

id say the best deal is the audigy 2 value card (the zs aint really better in game performance)

EDIT: oops... thats creative sound blaster audigy 2 value

Turtle Beach Riviera or Catalina are awesome. I'm planning to get the Catalina soon to replace the AudioMax card that came with my mobo.

Otherwise, Audigy 2 is good, but I'm not a fan of Creative. All the little programs you have to install, and they are always bugging you and stuff...maybe I'm paranoid.

you have to set software acceleration to 'on'
