Subject: The Most Likely Plot... (I Think)

Well if the game is mainly set on the Battle of Reach (which seems likely given the title and the spartans in the trailer), then the Master Chief would be in the game for a small period of time. The events on reach span from just before Halo CE and all the way up through the events of Halo: First Strike, which takes us up to just before to Halo 2. Clearly since the game would be more focused on Reach, we wouldn't be following the Master Chief through the story. We'd most likely be following the Spartan Red Team, consisting of a majority of the Spartans with the exception of the Master Chief, Linda, and I think Will. If you read Halo: First Strike, the game most likely follows that plot in regards to the events that occur on Reach. Maybe Bungie will include a perspective switch (like in Halo 2 with Arbiter and the Chief) between the events that occur with the Master Chief and the events that occur with Dr. Halsey and Red Team. Basically this would be the video game version of Halo: First Strike, bridging the gap between Halo CE and Halo 2. But thats just my theory. Any comments on anything I may have missed or any mistakes I made?

Well, if it takes place before the events of Halo: CE, it will probably wind up like the novel, However, if the theories prove true, and Reach is the planet at the end of Halo 3, we could be looking at a rescue plan type storyline, perhaps you play half the game as a marine, or an ODST, or even Johnson, and the rest is Master Chief... just a few thoughts, but i think it will be a prequel, though i wont rule out the latter plot

Remember,
It is easy to be male
it is another thing to be a man.

It is a good plot idea (no timetravelling) and i think that the perspective switch is almost a certainty. They've done it in ODST after all
