Wouldn't you like to see the story from the TRUE beginning. That being the beginning of the end of all Spartans?

Let's face it, the Halo series as is is ALL about Spartan 117's personal journey (other then the few mistakes of playing as the Arbiter). For the whole series you have been put in his shoes as THE LAST SPARTAN!

What if Bungie took this chance to put us in the shoes of the other failures that made the next Halo games happen? Granted that would mean that no matter what you did, you would still end up losing the battle. But, wouldn't it feel much better to lose in a battle knowing that you ultimately won the war?

It wouldn't make sense to make a prequel if the humans had ended up losing in Halo 3. The only way a prequel would have been possible (and accepted by the fans) was if we finally won the war in the end. But, what battles and catastrophies did we have to suffer in order to do that?

I think this game will answer those questions.

Assuming this is based on the book you'll be seeing a lot of the other SPARTANs. You should read up a bit on the book before you start making any theories.

Reach was one of Humanity's strongest Military home world's, and the Covenent destroyed the planet of Reach, along with millions of people, and the majority of the SPARTANS II's, leaving only around 5 left, while most were either dead, mia, or severely injured.
The Battle of Reach was how Master Chief got to Halo, Installation IV, because they would of died if they stayed, so they made a random jump, and thats how the Ark Trilogy was started (Halo 1-3)

Am I really the only person who liked the Arbiter? I thought the Arbiter's missions were more fun. I loved the stealth aspect of his missions, and his story was way more interesting. Honestly, before Halo 3 released I was imagining what the Arbiter's levels were going to be like. And I was disappointed.

I think the main reason people disliked the Arbiter, including myself, is because Halo 2's campaign was a travesty. The two stories were ridiculously short, and combined, the campaign was also ridiculously short. Many felt that the Arbiter's story was invading our usual comfort zone, cutting our MC time in half from an already small sized campaign... and I have to agree.

It was a great concept, but it was horribly executed in my own personal opinion (that many seem to share).
