GIVE IT SOME THOUGHT

Player gameplay and any improvements you have for any current weapons, vehicles, or equipment are welcome. Also I was thinking weapon attachments would be a great addition to Halo. You would press right on the d-pad to add the attachment and again to take it away. The B.R.would be single shot(sub automatic), have pretty good power, and have quick rate of fire. And its attachment would make it 3 shot burst and increase its range. For the A.R. maybe its attachment would give it a grenade launcher, and they would still bounce. I also think active camo and overs hields should be made into equipment. You press (x) to use acive camo or overshield(s). Active camo would last for 45 seconds then you would have to wait 1 and a half minutes for it to charge. The over shield(s) would last for 1 minute and recharge when they take damage untill time runs out then they will start depleting and you have to wait 2 minutes to use it again.

No, it's just not Halo. The multiplayers arsenal is simple: Start with weaker weapons, fight for more powerful, useful weapons/power-ups.

What do you guys think of having more character models? Maybe each with thier own uniqe traits. I love Halo and I don't really like games like Gears of War or COD, but I think Halo could be alot better if it had more structure not just talking about classes like maybe even a cover system.

heres how halo works

first:people spawn and run for rocket/sword/lazer/gravhammer/sniper/shotgun
next: people go for camo/oversheild
last/gore party!

in your plan its this
first:noobs set camo perk rocket launcher spawn and energy sword spawn
second:people spawn and all people not noobs get betrayed at spawn or spawn killed
third:only noobs enjoy gore party

well still your system will have people spawn with the weapons they want so their will be 50 rockets going off at every moment of every game halos gameplay and what makes it uniwue is every player has the same advantages and must go for their weapons on the map with also makes forge very good due to that you can decide what people use on your maps and how much their used or make small weapon depots and ammo supplies in zombie games for help surviving and it would ruin the option to make people spawn with stuff like zombies with swords imagin a zombie with a sniper in a game of fat kid

No, they would have to rebalance every weapon and vehincle in the game. It would be nothing like Halo is right now.

It would be stupid, every game would be a team snipers match. Even if they put a limit on how many of each class could be active at one time, people would -blam!- and moan about people whoring the sniper class.

Okay to fix that

A:Classes wouldn't be for all matchmaking playlist and you could turn it off in custom games. People wouldn't have to moan about players hogging certain classes because all weapons would still be availiable on the map, and maybe just if you choose the sniper class you would be better with the sniper and same thing with other classes.

B:Classes are a option for custom games. You can choose if humans, zombies, party leader, vip, etc can choose classes. And you can create your own classes and turn default classes off for custom games, or even just turn the classes off. Could make for some interesting gametypes.

any of that would ruin the gameplay.IT's JUST NOT HALO.New things will come,but those are dramatic turns that Bungie won't do.Three of the most sucessful shooters in gaming(multiplayer wise).They will stick to the base formula that keeps people playing.

Okay, well what about my idea for weapon attachments. Shouldn't be anything wrong with that right? You guys want a single shot B.R. right well maybe it could be like that by default. It would be semi automatic, have sub medium range, and do decent damage. And the attachement would make it 3 shot burst, give it the scope and increase its range. Huh well what do you think of that :)? And more character models shouldn't be a problem. Can I suggest this? How about each character model having uniqe traits? The differences wouldn't have to be that great and it wouldn't effect gameplay that much. And think about having attachments for weapons. Tell me what you think.

No, if Halo Reach ended up like this I'd be thoroughly disappointed.Bungie has a winning formula with the other games in the Halo series, if it ain't broke, don't fix it.
Also I just thought I'd add that class based systems eventually make the game become unbalanced or boring once players figure out the "best" setup for attachments and the like.

EDIT: Having different character model have different capabilities would be met with otcry. People are already mad about Elites being hunchbacks so they can't headshot them from behind easily. We do not need to unbalance the game to the point where nobody will use certain weapons or character models at all because they will have a disadvantage.
Sandbox style gameplay has always been Halo's forte and should be kept as such.

Attachments wouldn't nessesarily make weapons better. The B.R. without the attachment would just be more effective at a closer range. For example one player has a B.R. without the attachment and one has the attachment. At a closer range the player without the attachment has the advantage becuase the B.R. is semi automatic . And at longer range the B.R. player with the attachment would have the advantage because the attachment makes it more accurate. Like a Hammer Burst from Gears of War 2 versus a 3 shot burst one that is more accurate and has longer range at closer and longer ranges. It wouldn't even have to be for all weapons.
