GIVE IT SOME THOUGHT...Seriously guys I understand you want Halo to stay Halo, but they would basically be equipment for weapons. They wouldn't change gameplay at all or that much, and please stop it with "This isn't COD"or"Call Of Halo: Covies At War...no"or what ever!! Some of you probably think we don't need attachments. And we dont it's just a idea I thought would be fun. We don't need vehicles or equipment either. And how is this related to COD anyway? I respect all opinions, but don't just say it will make it like COD so it will make it bad. I honestly think COD and Halo could use a little of each other. GIVE IT SOME THOUGHT!!

I was thinking weapon attachments would be a great addition to Halo. You would press right on the d-pad to add the attachment and again to take it away. The B.R. would be single shot, semi automatic, have pretty good power, and have quick rate of fire. And its attachment would make it 3 shot burst, give it the scope, and increase its range. For the A.R. maybe its attachment would give it a grenade launcher, and they would still bounce.

Attachments wouldn't nessesarily make weapons better. The B.R. without the attachment would just be more effective at a closer range. For example one player has a B.R. without the attachment and one has the attachment. At a closer range the player without the attachment has the advantage becuase the B.R. is semi automatic . And at longer range the B.R. player with the attachment would have the advantage because the attachment makes it more accurate. Probably best not to have attachments for all weapons.

what about the rocket launcher, it could have an attachment that allows you to have the lock on rocket from halo 2. without the attachment it would fire normal rocket shots.

Long time Bungie fan. I been playing since the age of 2 years old! I'm a really good Halo player. I worked my way for u 9 years on Halo. I read all Halo books I even have Halo:The Art Book. And yes I'm a kiss-up.

Because they are good idea's and they were not the first game to use the attachments what about Republic Commando that game perfected the attachment gun...That would be cool to use the Cyclops exoskeleton as a vehicle in Multiplayer

I think active camo and over shields should be made into equipment. You would press (x) to activate active camo or over shield(s). Active camo would last for 45 seconds then you have to wait a minute and a half for them to charge.The over shield(s) would take damage and recharge a little faster than normal until 180 seconds is up.Then you have to wait 2 miutes.I like the exoskeleton idea.

You know what else would be a good addition to Halo? Customizable vehicles.

We'll need a special "Vehicle Forge" for this.

We should be able to give our 'Hog a wild custom paint job. 22" Spinner rims, drop it into the weeds, custom sound system with bangin' 14" Bass speakers, phat exhaust and plenty of LED lights all over the place. Yeah, boyeeeee. Hydrolics so I can bounce my hoopty straight up to the Covies and be all in their face with my pimp hotness.

You know what else would be a good addition to Halo? Customizable Everything.

We'll need a special "Everything Forge" for this.

We should be able to customize....blah, blah, blah...and none of it will improve gameplay or add to the experience in any way. It will all be gimicks but it will be just like this other game I played that I really liked or it will be just like something I dreamed up while I was bored. It will all add needless complexity to the game and contribute to more in-game exploits but I don't care about any of that. I just think it would be neat-o and since I seem to lack any concept of the fact that I am not personally designing this game I still think Bungie should do it because I can make a poll on the forumz and get lots of other kids to say they want it to.

I think customization is important. It allows for 'new' game play without the need for a 'new' game.

Like weapons, Each attachment has a strength and a weakness.
For example, a grenade launcher would allow grenades to move faster and with less effect from gravity, but it needs to reload, and this takes time and means you can't fire the weapon it is installed onto.

another example is a sound supressor. It lowers the sound emitted from a weapon when firing and increases accuracy a bit, because it is essentially a kind of barrel extension, but it also reduces damage

It doesnt need equipment or vehicles either, but you still want them right? Some people probably think attachments are stupid because then everyone will always have thier attachment on, and thats not true. Attachments do not make weapons better they just give it a different purpose I would say. Read my weapon ideas with the attacments and you'll understand.

Anything that gives a player an advantage over another player is wrong.
If each BR had these attachments, yes, okay. But if you have to upgrade your weapon yourself, then no.

If you have to unlock this super BR, then no.

Why does everyone think attachments make weapons better? They just make it better for closer or longer range, or give it less power but higher rate of fire. All weapons that can have a attachment will come with the attachment, and you would just press a button to put it on. You can still take it off if you need the default semi automatic of the B.R., or the full power of the shotgun.
