STOp bumping
at least if this thread was a few days old..
its tolerable even though annoying..
but ur bumping for every wat.. 10 mins..
dang man.. sum1 will answer ur question..
please be patient.. were all humans...
well now to answer ur question

well you should turn off your
firewalls and open ports 2302 and 2303
for halo pc and check your router ports and make sure no
other firewallss are blocking.. and
also make sure u have no spyware on ur computer...
and if u cant connect to gamespy..
it might have been temporarily down...

helooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo Mr. impatient. you bumped your thread within 5 mins of making it, and when it as the first topic. wow. just wow. i've never seen such impatience before. now i could go on forever like this, but i'm guessing you're alredy getting impatient
your problem is that you haven't opened ports on your firewall/ router. if you know how, i think it's the ports 2300-2305, but don't quote me on that.
if you have no clue as to what i'm talking about, tell us what your firewall is, and what router you use.

I had that until i figured out that it was Zone Alarm Firewall causing that problem. If you have Zone Alarm, then thats probably whats screwing it over.

SLD mentioned one time that certain firewalls leave "trace" blockers, remnants of the firewall that block programs even when the firewall is turned off. Could be that.

Turing off the firewall doesn't open ports.

Yes it does. The firewall (if told to,) blocks ports, making them as ineffective as if they were turned off. Deactivating the firewall would unblock ports.
