Loyalty is all I have.

I was just watching the trailer from E3 and the first thing you hear is a report from a Fermion station reporting the slipspace ruptures the Covenant casued jumping into the system.

Now page 282 Ch.31 of Halo: The Fall of Reach takes place on that same station reporting to Reach, so maybe if the trailer follows the book, maybe the game might as well? Or maybe it was just a Easter Egg for people who read the book, anyway I don't know if people knew about this or not, just thought it might be some good evidence.

The game should follow the book or there would be no point in buying or reading the book.

It's still a fun book.

Maybe it will follow Fall of Reach, maybe the also First Strike. Who knows?
It won't follow The Flood, of course.

hopefully both. but what about the other bit of first strike where the chief goes back, from what i can remember i think that bit would be quite fun to play, wether as the chief or not.

Ugh...

First on a BWU.. yeah, I'm cool.

ODST;MYTHIC Screenshot winner! One of the first to get their hands on the mythic map pack.

Bungie won't make a game where you have to buy a book to understand said game. So I am guessing it is from a different perspective.

its not confirmed but the game and the book shares the same title so that's why people speculate.

I hope they follow the book from what i have read now (i am at page 180 atm).
it would be awesome to be John at the age of 6 and get in Mendez his missions, get the medicine and be an awesome Spartan, then got your first Mjolnir armor.... it would be all AWESOME.... but that's my opinion.

It should follow the book but not just the Reach parts in Fall of Reach and First Strike but all of the non Halo events like the missions on Cote D'azure??? not sure if thats right I havent read the books in forever.

a little off topic question:
Is the book sequence: 1.fall of reach, 2.flood, 3.first strike or is the first strike 2nd and flood 3th ?

cause the book flood is not written by Eric Nylond ..?

Thanks

First strike is after Flood. then ghosts of onyx after first strike

I hunt for the Prophet of Contentment, the San 'Shyumm that murdered my son, and stole his birthright, his Energy Sword. They call our species Heretics. They claim to all that our tongues sting, our words a vile poison that feeds on the unworthy. I have seen the true face of Heresy. The head of a gallant warrior lay on the ground. His neck scorched and blistered, scarred by his own blade. I shall retrieve the weapon, and drive it through that bastard's heart! Punishment for his sins is nigh.

1: Fall of Reach (Master Chief leaves as the covenant begin the attack, and goes to Halo)
2: The Flood (Halo CE)
3: First Strike (After Halo, Other Spartans get off reach, and regroup with he Chief)

it's beginning to seem that way to me as well, and i loved the book.

There's just too much information in the novel to tell such a small part of the war.

It's going to be very interesting how Bungie takes this game. I'm eager to see something new on Bungie-Day, but i know the probability of that is low.

Still... as Halo 3 delivered, what I want to see the most is an awesome cutscene depicting the Covenant's arrival and attack from the surface of Reach. That'd be like Christmas or some -blam!-.
