Long time Bungie fan. I been playing since the age of 2 years old! I'm a really good Halo player. I worked my way for u 9 years on Halo. I read all Halo books I even have Halo:The Art Book. And yes I'm a kiss-up.

Right. I'm proposing this for 2 reasons: #1 is because it's still 2009 and Halo: Reach is obviously still in development, so Bungie can add a lot of stuff. #2 is because we love the Pelican. Bungie will never let us fly one, so this is the next best thing.
Heads up: China let me borrow their wall for a little bit, just to let you know.
Pelicans take us everywhere. Pelicans usually get us somewhere before either being chased away or destroyed under enemy fire.
What if, for a change, we were part of that?
For example, you, the character, which I shall refer to as [Chief] are sitting in a pelican, awaiting drop off with a group of marines, or Spartans, who cares. Suddenly, if mid flight, your pelican is bombarded by a Banshee's fuel rod. The pilot shouts "Hang on, [Chief]"! The pelican is being rocked back and forth, up and down, and, at this point, you're starting to slide off (mind you, this is the rear of the Pelican). The option "Hold RB to hang on" appears. Obviously, you press it, and watch [Chief's] hand grab onto a handle. You can't move, until the Pelican levels out. At this point, the pilot, or a marine, shouts "Take that -blamtacular- son of a -blam- down, [Chief]!" You then notice the supply of weapons in the Pelican's side racks. You can walk over, grab a laser, and shoot the banshee down. Mind you, at any point, the fuel rod can strike or the pilot can pull a maneuver and rock the Pelican, which is a sign for you press RB to hold on. When holding on, you can't move. I picture it being similar to hijacking a Wraith or Scorpion in Halo 3, where you can hop off at any time, but are vulnerable to fire. So, you hop off when it's level, and shoot the Banshee. You continue to fly on, with the pilot saying "LZ's coming up boys! Stand by to dep- S***! We got active triple-A!" This is a sign to take down a group of Anti-Air Wraiths with the rest of your laser. At this point, the pilot says to you: "Grab a weapon, [Chief]. You get these boys backs." You proceed to take an SMG, or some other small side-arm. The marines in the Pelican begin to leave one by one, with you at the back. The last one is about to leave when two berserking Brutes (Or pissed off Elites) knock the last off and attempt to board the Pelican. "Get those punks offa me!" shouts the pilot, as he begins to take off. You proceed to defeat the two brutes, and as soon as doing so, the pilot says "Geez, those guys are getting slaughtered down there! That LZ's too hot for me to drop you off in [Chief]. I gotta find somewhere else to set you down.
It would be like this, minus the warthog in your face
Thus begins the rest of the level, with other random crud happening.
So, a summary: You're in the back of a Pelican with a group of marines. You can walk around, and it's your duty to destroy and enemies that get in your way. If the Pelican takes a good hit, you get knocked off your feet and have to "Hold RB to hang on."
What do you guys think?
Very smart man only if BUNGIE can hear us type.
