I was thinking today when you play as the rookie your in a what is easily seen "free-roam"area. Im wondering if you clear one area of covenant will they respawn as you walk back if you understand will there be ifinate spawing patrols as you explore new monbassa? or when eveything its dead its clear.

Good question they will most likely bring in another covenant patrol after they lost contact with the patrol you killed well thats what i think.

Characters probably won't respawn so much as another squad gets dropped off via Phantom.

I dislike the usage of the phrase "free-roam" being applied to ODST, it sounds too deceiving. The game isn't completely open, it's just larger. Maybe that's just me though.

Well i understand it isnt free roam but there is a better sence of freedom in the night time city. Also you can go to any beacon in any order giving it that sence of exploration aswell.

During H-3's development, they were touting this system of AI where, if you let a straggler survive, he'd go off and find some other guys to rally against you. Maybe it'll reappear for this iteration...

Well the perception I get from Halo3: ODST would be that it's a more open/larger than Halo3.I wouldn't classify it as free roam though.

How many enemies will we be able to fight at once in Campaign because since he has no shield he wont exactly be able to fight off a 12 Covies by himself will he??

Maybe it will be like Assassin's creed. If you killed a group of enimies near, say Damascus, then went near Acre and back, the enemies would have respawned.

They might only respawn in the main crossroads of the city
