Allow me to, with the push of a button, turn my multiplayer avatar into a motion capture avatar. This way my Spartan can do a merry jig after an exhilarating multi-kill.

I know this would also allow for all kinds of gestures that could make teabagging of old seem like tea time at Buckingham palace.

I still want it.

heg heg herg herg.

Adding Natal into Reach would be a grave mistake on Bungie's part, they would probably end up loosing all of their veteran fans.

Ugh...

First on a BWU.. yeah, I'm cool.

ODST;MYTHIC Screenshot winner! One of the first to get their hands on the mythic map pack.

Not at all.

“I’m Your prisoner by choice. I will rest at Your feet, and I’ll only lift my voice when You want me to sing"

Who said it was going to be used to ENTIRELY control your character? Maybe you will just use it to press a button or solve a puzzle. And if you dont want to use Natal then you wont have to. They're not going to make it mandatory for the game. If they did Microsoft and Bungie would have a riot on their hands.

Truth.

i think it would be cool as just like an unimportant part of the game. eg when your looking at your service record you can control your spartan with natal.

You must lay a sacrifice on the almighty altar of FRAG. It demands you get 4 kills with 1 laser shot.
Only then will the gods be appeased.

Me: Im going to hell...

You guys can't tell me you wouldn't want natal at all. This is Bungie were talking about, they understand us and will not just throw away the veterans. They can make it work, what if it was just forge? How much easier would it be to use your hands to forge maps than to fly around?

the will to win is the will to destroy

it might have its uses in menus and such or even in some parts of game play but mainly the conroler would have to be used

Hardly. If Bungie puts Natal into their game, it's not going to effect the sales of their game nor the fanbase's support more than a modicum.

Anyone who is that ready to float away from Bungie's games on the whim of a five-letter word is clearly not a fan. We don't know how they'd implement it, to what extent they'd implement it, or if they would at all. If they say they will, all you should be responding with is "okay, well how?"
Obviously, blind loyalty is bad, but the exact opposite is no better. Jumping off the wagon as soon as you perceive there to be a bump on the road ahead is not any better than holding on to the wagon even as it rolls over a cliff and into a lake. Not if you want to enjoy being on the wagon.

'Kay, maybe the metaphor was bad. I'm working on that sort of thing.

Doc: "i'm a pacifist"
Caboose: "your a thing that babies suck on?"
Tucker: "no dude, that's a pedephile"
Church: "tucker, i think he means a pacifier"

The only implementations I could see for Natal that wouldn't ruin the game as a FPS shooter would be for context sensitive que's such as opening, moving, grabbing (similar to that of Metroid Prime 3: Corruption).

I see no place for FPS integration of Natal, as far as general gameplay goes. It makes no practical sense.

They should just do something like this, it'd be cool without ruining gameplay.

Don't Worry guys. If Natal IS in it(most likely a no no). It wont be like "NATAL THE FPS". It will be like just the menus...Or like voice commands to soldiers...I mean When you think about it, Natal has a lot more to offer than just gimmicky Wii Sport Resort games. Just take a look at Milo. But the statement said was "I absolutely think [Halo:] Reach could be enabled with it,".

let's analyze this shall we?

The biggest word here is 'could'. The public beta for this game comes out next years...most likely before the release of Natal. Meaning that it's gonna be some sort of tack-on... Since we, my friends shall be playing The beta with Amp energy drinks close at hand...WITHOUT Natal!
The second word is...'Enabled'... enable what is the question...I put my money on it not being using Natal for everything guys.

The only things natal should be used. maybe

-scrolling through the menus

-changing your spartans/elites pose in the service record

-maybe some implementations with forge

but any direct contact with the already damaged gameplay(in certain aspects) would make this a new game. Not halo, just a -blam!- game that no fan would want to play.

Bungie if you read these! P P P PLZ dont do this to me!!!

  • 06.30.2009 12:38 AM PDT

"You got 2 years of cl1t deepening you mean?"
"Uh. Wut?"
"..."
"Do you know what a cl1t is, dear?"
"LAWL SO SIGGING THIS -blam!-!"

Ok I do appreciate that feature it sounds fun. Imagine the machinima possibilities with Natal also. But it would be fun to dance as a Spartan after an awesome kill. Or do a funny gesture to friends.

When I die please bury me deep!
Place an MA5 down by my feet!
Don't cry for me, don't shed no tear!
Just pack my box with PT gear!
'Cuz one early morning 'bout zero-five
The ground will rumble, there'll be lighting in the sky!
Don't you worry, don't come undone!
It's just my ghost on a PT run!

Guys, what the hell? Putting Natal on Halo; Reach doesn't mean that we have to get rid of the controllers
