Honor Light Your Way, Our Blood Shall Forge A Thousand Generations!.
You and two other ODST's have been in the ruins of New Mombasa for atleast three weeks now, and it doesn't look like reinforcements are coming. You go into a random three-story building, to try and sleep there for the night. While looking for a suitable room to hide in, you and your squad overhear two nearby Brutes behind the corner of one of the rooms. You gather two pieces of valuable information and dispose of the Brutes. One piece of information suggests that fifteen ODST are being held in a detention center two clicks east of your position. The other piece of intel tells you that a platoon of Brutes are guarding a UNSC hangar at a nearby ONI building. You and your other ODST squad mates try to decide whether or not you should escape in a Pelican at the hangar, or try and rescue your squadmates at the detention center. As the commanding Officer, you decide you're going to try and rescue the ODST before they meet their fate. Private Shepard of your squad says "No way in hell am I going to do that, I'd much rather take my chances alone and go for the hangar." You eyeball him, then turn to Corporal Lambert.
"That's insubordination, private." You reply.
"I don't care what the hell it is! We've been here for three weeks! Reinforcements are never coming for us." By this time Lambert unbuckles his Magnum and points it at Shepard's head.
"You heard the Sergeant, Boot," he growls.
Shepard says "I'd much rather die right here and now than be food for the Brutes," and surprisingly elbows Lambert in the side of the head, the blast knocks him out. (The ODST had their helmets off, due to the fact they were resting.)
You retaliate by pointing your own Magnum at the AWOL soldier. He also has his pointed at you. You can't decide whether or not to shoot the bastard, or try to talk some sense into him. And to make things worse, you hear the grunts and howls of Brutes, as they come climbing up the stairwell to try and find their fallen comrades, who never reported back.
How do you handle this situation?
