Honor Light Your Way, Our Blood Shall Forge A Thousand Generations!.

You and two other ODST's have been in the ruins of New Mombasa for atleast three weeks now, and it doesn't look like reinforcements are coming. You go into a random three-story building, to try and sleep there for the night. While looking for a suitable room to hide in, you and your squad overhear two nearby Brutes behind the corner of one of the rooms. You gather two pieces of valuable information and dispose of the Brutes. One piece of information suggests that fifteen ODST are being held in a detention center two clicks east of your position. The other piece of intel tells you that a platoon of Brutes are guarding a UNSC hangar at a nearby ONI building. You and your other ODST squad mates try to decide whether or not you should escape in a Pelican at the hangar, or try and rescue your squadmates at the detention center. As the commanding Officer, you decide you're going to try and rescue the ODST before they meet their fate. Private Shepard of your squad says "No way in hell am I going to do that, I'd much rather take my chances alone and go for the hangar." You eyeball him, then turn to Corporal Lambert.
"That's insubordination, private." You reply.
"I don't care what the hell it is! We've been here for three weeks! Reinforcements are never coming for us." By this time Lambert unbuckles his Magnum and points it at Shepard's head.
"You heard the Sergeant, Boot," he growls.
Shepard says "I'd much rather die right here and now than be food for the Brutes," and surprisingly elbows Lambert in the side of the head, the blast knocks him out. (The ODST had their helmets off, due to the fact they were resting.)
You retaliate by pointing your own Magnum at the AWOL soldier. He also has his pointed at you. You can't decide whether or not to shoot the bastard, or try to talk some sense into him. And to make things worse, you hear the grunts and howls of Brutes, as they come climbing up the stairwell to try and find their fallen comrades, who never reported back.
How do you handle this situation?

being the commanding officer i'd slowly pull my gun down and tell they guy to "shut the hell up" i'd turn to the door and get ready to kill the brutes. After dispatching the brutes (taking the chance that the AWOL doesn't kill me before hand) i turn to him and order him to help the other ODST that he knocked out. if the prick doesn't listen i tell him that i will shoot him if he doesn't and if he pulls his gun on me i grab him and break his arm to stop him. depending on if he helps or not i will leave him there or take him with me as we go to rescue the marines (i may try to persuade him how he will die fighting the brutes at the hanger alone but with 18 guys we could -blam!- their ass.

god do you people have such a misconstrued idea about what emo is.

Oh please enlighten us. We all want to know how misunderstood you are.

Pull the pistol back and tell Pvt. Shepard to go try and take that Pelican on his own, it will be a good distraction for the brutes while Corporal Lambert and I save the other 15 ODST's and escape in the Pelican. That would scare him enough to help rescue them.

Then I guess we would hide in the shadows until the patrol passed, trying to wake up the Corporal, and when it's over, court martial the Pvt (if we survived).

Your welcome. And I want to be a Sci-Fi writer too. My favorite author is Eric Nylund.

And just throwing this out there: if anyone thinks that my posts are annoying, then I suggest not reading anything by me, because I am going to make a lot more of these. I don't want any of you complaining about how much of these I make, or what not. I respect those of you who actually take this seriously, and answer with original answers. (Preferably answers that aren't random) Thank you, I hope you enjoy my future Posts. If not, I'm sorry you didn't.

Kill the retard and find cover for a Shoot-out

I would take the soldiers gun exchange it for my modified version, and tell him to get to the roof and help the other one he knocked out, I then toss a couple frags down the stairwell and clear out the survivors. I stealthily make my way to the marines and throw a plasma grenade at a nearby crane. Part of it melt so it falls and the brutes go to investigate, I toss my second Plasma at the wall and get the marines out. We then go back the way I came and rendevouz at the building where the two odsts are, we break into a run down army base, grab some Ars and BRs and some extra ammo. We charge the hanger run on the pelican and clear out the brutes in the hanger with missiles. I send the others in one pelican while I grab the second, recover my teammates then report to the admiral and deliver my report, I'm that marine handing the pad to him in the cutscene in the beginning of crows nest

For now i think I'd lower my Magnum and pick up a few br rounds and rush into the hell of the battle, after reaching a rally poiint i'd shoot him with a magnum bullet.
