It isn't a "cancel melee button". It's a freaking reload button that interrupts every first-person animation action because they were not programmed to follow through in their entirety, and the same is still existent in Halo 3.
Chill out dude. Jesus Christ. There is no such thing as B-RB-B in Halo 3 unless you need to reload, so its different. Either way, in Halo REACH I would like a melee combo/double melee system implemented. They could make it have a big drawback if you mess up the timing on pressing the melee cancel/link button (like the drawback when you mistime your active reload in GOW).

That there is an excellent idea, it would highlight the crazy melee the spartan's are said to do and it would still be fun.

I do not appreciate B.Net Group solicitation. If you ignore this and send me an invitation anyway, I will block communications with you.

I'm sorry that you find the culmination of italics and the word "freaking" so unbelievably hostile. I'll watch what I say to you from now on.

Regardless of the differences, the point is that Halo 3 recognizes it the same way that Halo 2 did. The only difference was that Halo 2 forcefully stops one action to pursue the newer one you attempted to use, whether or not it can actually be used or not. It was not leftover functionality, just faulty engineering.

As for a furtherance of the melee system, I'm actually looking for it to be downplayed across the Halo arsenal of non-melee weaponry. If you have an energy sword, or some other melee weapon (some speculate we'll see a combat knife), then sure, a multi-tiered melee system might be interesting, but I'd really hate to see it implemented with a rifle, for example.

I'd like to see Reach's melee system return to Combat Evolved's: single-melee, no lunge.

Haha, sorry, just seemed like you were getting kind of mad there. I would like to see a lack of meele lunge as well... but I think that since that would make the melee take a lot of skill, it wouldn't be as overpowered as it was in Halo 3 (where I think a melee combo would be silly) so the melee combo wouldn't really be a big deal without melee lunge. But either way, as long as there is no lunge I will be happy.

i completly agree that the BXR and BXBs and all that fun stuff should be put in. When i found out halo 3 didnt have them i was a lil disapointed. and on top of that if your hating on those glitches because any one can do them and kill you... well any one can just press RT 4 times to the head easily itz just you gotta be able to do it better =D

"Everything works itself out. The only thing that matters is whether you want it to or not."

Last Refuge - Operation Phoenix is in effect. From the ashes, we will rise.

Well, a melee combo system would be awesome if it was implemented into Halo: Reach, giving us a better chance to fully understand the capabilities of the Spartans.
