I record parts of my games, and thats all fine. On the clips, you can read the writing. When I import them into WMM, everything is still all fine, you can read the writing. When I put them into the timeline, the clip goes all blurry, not enough that you can't tell whats going on, but enough to make the writing un readable and things don't look sharp. Is it WMM? Can I change a setting? How do I fix this?

are you using fraps before you use WMM? Does it get blurry after you save it or before? There's some wizard you use when you save it to your pc. It has some quality options there. Hope this helps.

WMM always blurs stuff, especially text. Even after rendering and encoding the text remains blurry. I have no idea why...I'd just use a more professional program. Find a few, download some trials, see which one you like.

Just be careful where you download them from.

If you are REALLY into making movies, and if you have quite a bit of money, always go for Apple computers. They are Superb at making movies. And they come free with the computer.

I dunno...just something that seems professional and costs upward of $400. Then just keep downloading the trial. How do you think I use 3ds Max ;)

Yeah, Apple's Imovie and Final Cut Pro are awesome video editing programs. But thats about the only thing good about them...

Sony Vegas...Have seen loads of movies done like that, especially e0!'s vidz, they all use Vegas...erm, to be politically correct, even tho, its easier, cheaper, quicker and you SHOULD do it...dont ever download and crack a version of Sony Vegas ^_^ *angelic face*

hmmmm, yes I'd like to hear about this "game cam" too. If it is better than than Fraps

P.S hmm i have Adobe Premiere, unfortunately i don't have enough processor to run it well, i find when I'm in a hurry movie maker work's fine, though i also have to agree that apple' free editng tools are better. I mean, have u SEEN warthog jump? that was awesome, made with none other than Apple video editor.

The unregistered version of Gamecam doesn't record audio but it doesn't suck the FPS up as much. I like the custimizability of Gamecam but the no audio in the Trial makes the Fraps Trial better for me. Gamecam also has alot more Hotkeys though so you will have to change them if you want to type while playing. The record length isn't limited though. If I could find an audio capturing program then I will switch over.

Heres Gamecam. To record audio with fraps you have to check the record audio box and put it on detect best sound input.

It seems that the blurryness is mostly just the preview window in WMM. The published version isn't as blurry and you can read the writing.

ummm ya I'm sure I have record audio checked off as well as the sound input set to "Wave" and I'm sure it's going through the right sound card, i remember I used to have Fraps and it recorded sound fine then, but no nothing, hmmm could it be because I set up quadrophonic speakers recently, i also switched speakers.
