An in game picture, I really want to see what the game looks like.

I had doubts that it would be a Reach screenshot but they did show the game to that actor who was at Bungie so it's possible.

I do not appreciate B.Net Group solicitation. If you ignore this and send me an invitation anyway, I will block communications with you.

I'm expecting to see some sort of Reach info come Bungie Day, unless they made Fillion sign an NDA. Not that Fillion would have any trouble staying true and keeping it secret, but it just seems unlikely that they would show a preview to a fan (celebrity or not) if it weren't going to be made public soon.

Happiness is a warm gun

Were also going to have some other goodies for you should you decide to stop by Bungie.net on the 7th and help us celebrate. Maybe even a screenshot. No promises. Stay Tuned

high hopes

I agree, it would be strange for them not to release at least a screenshot of it now. If there is I think it will be a multiplayer screenshot seeing as the beta will probably be out next spring. I doubt we'll get any campaign info until after ODST's out.

Also, your thread title is false.

The way the game is now WILL BE completely different when it ships. We've seen how much a game changes in a couple of months with Halo 3 Beta. Bungie isn't stuid enough to realeae any pictures of gameplay to the public because that would be false advertising.

I thought it was quite obvious in the update that it would be a mythic map.

They showed it to Nathan Fillion so it must look good enough. Also, the game can only get better so how is it false advertising?

Urk never specifically said that they'd release a Reach screenshot. Urk just said that we might be getting a screenshot. It could be a screenshot of one of the future Mythic Maps being released, or another ODST screenshot.

Last Refuge - Operation Phoenix is in effect. From the ashes, we will rise.

Hmmm, a screenshot would be cool, but I don't think it would be entirely necessary. But anyways, sure if they decide to.

Wouldn't one screenshot for ODST be a bit of an anti-climax for Bungie day?

Dude, it's just a single screenshot. What damage could it possibly do?

Wrong, the game can only get diffrent not nessicarily better. The way it is now is obviously different from the way it will be shipped in over a year? Why get fans excited/dissapointed for a game a year and a half before its released that won't be the same?

We are a long way from seeing gameplay.

And you know this how?, Bungie has been working on this game since the release of halo 3 or maby even before that so honestly how do you or any of us know that...!

I'm just throwing out possibilities. We can't automatically think that Bungie will release a screenshot of Reach as soon as they say that they'll give us a screenshot.

A lot of games are shown early on and a lot of the time they change.

I know, there's a huge chance we won't get a pic of Reach. They always do something big for Bungie day though so I'm expecting something more than a Recon contest and a pic of ODST.

WTF? Are you seriously asking how I know the game will be different from the stage its in now to the stage it will be in a year? It's called progression. When a company makes a product they make it, then test it, then make it differently, for efficientcy and effectiveness, repeat.

Screenshots would be nice, but they really don't just come out everyday unless the game is getting released very soon. So a screenshot at this stage in their developmental stage, wherever Bungie is, would be very nice.

There's no need to get aggressive, it's just a game discussion. Calm down.

Well you were getting a wee bit out of hand there, but at least you didn't go overboard. Anyways, back on topic. IF they already have gameplay previews coming out on Bungie Day too... That would be awesome.

  • 06.30.2009 10:13 AM PDT

Wow dude, it's gonna be A ok. All I'm saying is don't hold your breath for a Reach Screenshot. Bungie has released all of the selling points for ODST except maps. The screenshot will most likely be either a mythic or a Firefight map.
