Honor Light Your Way, Our Blood Shall Forge A Thousand Generations!.
Okay, so, I've noticed that on the Forums, there has been a lot of questions and not so many answers. I'm going to answer most of the questions I've seen so far in this Post.
1.) When does ODST come into stores?
Halo 3: ODST will be available in stores September 22nd, 2009.
2.) How much will ODST cost?
Roughly $60.00.
3.) What does the Limited Addition Package give me?
It will allow you to play as Sgt. Johnson in Firefight. You can also play as Johnson if you pre-order the game. The limited addition package will give you a few more extras, which I'm not yet familiar with. I will get back on that as soon as I can.
4.) Is there a shield system in ODST?
Yes and no. You have something new, known as "stamina". You lose stamina by jumping, taking damage, etc. Once your stamina is depleted, you will take the hits directly from your health bar. Which does not recharge, however, stamina will after going so long without taking any damage. You can still recharge your main health at key locations.
5.) Is ODST online?
The only Online advantages ODST will have is Character Creation, Co-Op, and Firefight.
6.) Is ODST open world?
Yes, it is. When playing Co-Op, you can be as far apart from your buddies as you want. This makes it fun, and enjoyable while setting up ambushes and so on.
7.) Is ODST a full game or an Expansion to Halo 3?
It's an Expansion, but a very big one.
8.) What advantages and disadvantages are there to being an ODST?
ODST get two new weapons, a Silenced SMG, and a Silenced Pistol, much like Halo 1's. ODST cannot use any equipment or Energy Swords. They move a little slower, and don't jump as high. On the plus side, they have VISR Mode, which outlines important things in the game such as enemies or objectives. It also is helpful in Low-Light situations.
9.) Is there Vehicle use in ODST?
Yes, you will still be able to use vehicles in ODST.
10.) Does it play like any of the other Halo games?
Yes and no. Unlike Master Chief, you do not have the strength or willpower to go running out guns blazing, and if you try it, you won't last very long. Stealth plays a major role in this game, and so is picking your battles carefully. But, for any die-hard Halo fans, this game will feel much like a Halo game, if anything, improved.
I hope I could answer some questions anyone had about ODST. If you need any more info, message me and I'll try and answer for you. P.S These answers might not be 100% accurate, but I know they're close.
