Do you think its a good idea to have halo reach compatible with both the controller and natal?

  • 06.30.2009 12:24 PM PDT

I'd prefer to play it on the Controller, but it would be fun for a while to play it on Natal if its possible.

Why do you have 3 answers for yes and 3 answers for no? Here's how you should have made your poll:
-Yes
-No

Was that so hard?

Being able to hold a virtual gun would be pretty cool.

Do Work! Do Work! Do Work! Do Work! Do Work! Do Work!

The Shadow League

That would be a very, very bad idea.

I don't join any group that spams me in PM so don't try it.
SPAM applies to anything that is copy and pasted, it is very obvious when you do so don't say you wrote it. Also if you argue with me on the nature of things contained in this signature, you will be blocked and never removed. If you send to me in XBox live you will be Avoided, Blocked, and a complaint will be filed for harassment.

Why would you ever want to use motion sensing? If I wanted the motion sensing I'd use my Wii. I ask everyone why Microsoft is (to use a common phrase) jumping on the bandwagon to draw us in with shiny objects? Natal barely works, especially if there are multiple people nearby. It doesn't work in darkness (which is how I play my video games), it doesn't sense you pulling a trigger, and it certainly can't detect a difference between you and your friend sitting on a couch.

Why would anyone come over and play a video game to relax only to get up and wave you arms around like an air traffic controller?????? That's not relaxation, if I want to get up and move I'll go play some baseball with my friends, I don't need to stand in front of a machine that barely works.

No, because then I would have to go blow my money on the new Natal camera thing, and I never had any plans of getting it.

People that are pro-natal seem to only focus on one aspect of a FPS, and that's, well, the shooting. They, at first, forget about walking, melee, walking, grenades, walking, the simple action of looking around (IE look behind you), and did I mention walking? Reach better not be some Arcade shooter, which, if there is an Arcade shooter in the 360's future, then yes, NATAL would be perfect. BUT a NATAL only Reach will be a terrible HALO game.

Shopping Bags

If it's going to make more people buy a new Microsoft product, you can bet Microsoft will make sure Reach involves Natal. They're going to make sure almost everything uses it. That's just the way Microsoft works. When it comes down to it, they're after your money, not your friendship. They don't want you to be happy because you've saved your money do they? You can bet it won't be cheap either.
Look how many people have Xbox Live. We had to get Live if we wanted the best from our games, and soon Natal will be exactly the same. It's just Microsoft's way of rinsing us of every penny they can grab.

Go Rams and Missouri!

I would extremely doubt that Natal would be used a lot in Reach. Natal doesn't have to control everything, it can be incorporated so that games use Natal for minor things, and the controller for others.

what ARE J00 doing?

I voted yes because think how funny it would be to play against one of those people in lone wolves.

Alright I'll take a look at this.
Walking (that's a big issue as I can see) - Have a fixed point on the floor that your camera targets. When you stand on it, your player is still. But when you move toward the camera, your player starts to move forward, and then move faster depending on how close you are to the camera, and vice versa for going backwards.

Turning (specifically looking behind you) - Small movements translated to larger movements on the game. Have yourself turn 30 degrees and the player will turn continuously until you face forward again.

Melee - I guess you would punch.

Grenade - throwing motion.

Theoretically, it's a good idea to incorporate natal into Reach but since the beta is coming out November I doubt they can implement it into the game in time, maybe the next game.
