I dont care its gone it just doesn't make sense its not in the game. Sure, the ODST's were going on a mission were it wasn't going to be needed, but one of the many marines in the city were sure to have been equipt with a battle rifle, so your sure too have come across one while in the city. Just my opinion.

It wasn't in Halo: CE. Just pretend this is Halo 1: ODST.

Agreed. I don't need it in the game (the pistol's fine) but it is rather strange for it to be missing...

Good players work together...and no matter how good you are, you're not physic. - blade6321

It was probably left out to put more emphasis on the pistol and bring a more "Halo 1" sense to the game. Besides, It's essentially the same weapon. Now you actually have to be accurate instead of just sweep shooting.

And yet we can pick up a carbine. Granted, at least IMO, the carbine takes more skill than the BR, but it's still weird.

Im not talking about for gameplay though, its doesn't make sense for the weapon to disappear

Oh, wait, this is the ODST Forum, not the Reach Forum, hah.

They brought back the pistol because many people liked it and because you can't dual wield it it doesn't bring up the interesting questions like "how do you look through two scopes at once" or "how does a medium ranged weapon work when dual wielded?"

Wielding a double-bladed chainsaw, wearing a potato sack on your head and spinning around mindlessly is amiably quick at getting anything done

They add the BR to the game but you can't use it. Just to torment all the BR junkies :P
