I just don't understand, you say you aren't going to do any more Halo games and that you were going "to move on to bigger and better things." But somehow you manage to do all these little pointless spin-offs. Don't get me wrong, I love Halo and Halo is my favorite game and I was really looking forward to Halo 4. But instead you put all this effort into 2 other Halo games that will not even come close to selling more than Halo 4 would have combined . Sure I'm greatful that you guys are still working on the Halo franchise but I don't get it. And plus, don't you think your milking Halo with all these spin-offs?

You said that WILL not come close to selling more than Halo 4.

Why don't you level 50's out there, when you finally decide to apply for colleges...why don't you put that you were a level 50 on your application. And put it on your job resume, too. See how much it matters, and how much people care.

I'm not saying they are bad because it's pretty blatant that I couldn't possibly know that.

Oh but you seem to know that they could NEVER sell as well as Halo 4 and are pointless.

I'll say it again, that is my opinion. I never said the word never. And if you can't tell what an opinion is, then obviously I'm wasting my time.

no the word never you didn't use, but the words you did use had the same meaning.

and you very well know that, and trying to deny it is making you look evem more like an ass

You don't know how they will be either so your point is mute.

the word you are looking for is moot. not mute.

and i think you are completely wrong in your OP.

Yes, I am sorry for my error. But tell me how an opinion can be wrong. An opinion is a prference, it is simply what I think of the topic. It is impossible for it to be wrong. You could say you dissagree with me.

Dude....You finished the fight...what else do you want....
This is how halo 4 would have gone....
He wakes up....drinks some coffee ....go to the bathroom....lick the cryo tube junk off his lips...and fall back to sleep
the new halo games offer more range to the game without master chief.....but they left it open so that he could come back

as i said, i think you are wrong.

and the way you presented your "opinion" was very much a matter-of-fact, "I'm right" way.

Please don't say Halo 4 again.

I have to clear this up, Bungie sais that there aren't going to be any more games in the halo trilogy, ODST and Reach, aren't in the trilogy so whats wrong with them, Bungie isn't lieing because they are making them. And MC and Cortana could have their story continued as long as it isnt Halo 4, which by the way is not going to happen, atleast under that name, unless since Bungie says their done with the trilogy making Halo 4 would make it not A trilogy and then it would be fine to make.

Its called loopholes, people.

in swiftt's favor, he said i think which means his opinion is that you opinion is wrong, he never said that you opinion is wrong and thats a fact, and my opinion is that you are wrong too.

The original post, in my eyes, says something completely nonsensical and contradictory. The OP claims that ODST and Reach are being made to milk the Halo franchise, yet he wants a direct sequel to Halo 3, which ended with all conflicts ended. In simpler terms, Halo 3 isn't the best game to make a sequel to, and making Halo 4 would be some serious milkage (for the lack of a better term) relative to making a couple of spinoffs that delve deeper into the Halo universe.

If I may, I would like to compare a hypothetical Halo 4 to the fourth Indiana Jones movie. Sure, it would most likely be decent, but without the old antagonists, something would feel missing. In addition, the protagonist's story sort of seemed finished after the third one; and any continuation of it would sort of be unnecessary. Anyways, the Chief, like Indy, would probably be getting a little old for kicking ass.

"Dear Bungie.net, we regret being stubborn bastards, we regret coming to this forum, and we most definitely regret that Darth Kooky blew up our raggedy-ass opinion!"

Several things:

First, the OP is an ignorant and stubborn jerk. Maybe if you didn't shoot down everybody else's opinions and cling to your own, you would be done with this very pointless thread.

Second, all right...what does "IP" stand for?! (And yes I know it means the rights to it but I can't for the life of me figure out what "IP" stands for!)

Third, Halo 4 = Never going to happen!

Fourth, Non-Bungie Halo games = Not buying them. Halo Wars was a stretch and is an ok game. I basically spent 90 dollars (that's including tax on $79.99) to get the Mythic Map Pack 1 month and 6 days early.

Fifth, Microsoft milks Halo, not Bungie. Bungie doesn't want to make Halo anymore. But while they do, they will be awesome. Shiska has to make Halo until 2011, after that...all Bungie titles will not be Halo.

And that's the thing. A senior citizen defeating dozens of trained, armed soldiers with nothing but a whip is really going to the edge of the realm of possibility. That, and surviving a nuclear blast by jumping into a fridge. Now just imagine how old the Chief will be when he finally comes into contact with a hostile lifeform or construct. A little too old for the previously mentioned ass kicking, don't you think?

That was the second most unrealistic part in Indy IV and the second best (IMO).

(Most unrealistic: Aliens. Best part: Barfight)

what would halo 4 be about? the wars over and everything peacfull again

It Is during the fall of reach. That game is going to be epic compared to the other games considering how massive of a battle it was. If I recall correctly, more then 100 covenate warships, 5 massive orbital mac cannons , an UNSC fleet (forget ship count), and massive ground conflict with about 20 spartans on the ground fighting.

I'm pretty sure there were at least 15. But that's besides the point. Why you ask? Because the book is titled "The FALL of Reach". Great. We get to take part in an epic battle that we're guaranteed to lose. What next, a Remember The Alamo game?

your both wrong it was 300 covenant ships, 150 USNC warships, 3 UNSC repair ships, and 29 spartans, and 19 Orbital Mac Guns im pretty sure.

Alright, let's all get back on topic. I was just trying to make a comparison that everyone would understand. However, it sort of went off on a tangent. This is a Halo-related topic on a Halo-related forum, so lets talk about Halo-related things, shall we?

it's MS.
they 'own' halo now.
bungie is just the company making them. we don't want someone like.... activision making our halo now do we?

Omg no, activision blows so bad. lol guitar hero franchise, theres some pointless spin offs. lol the games arent even challenging after you play the first ones. Bungie can go ahead and expand the Halo franchise, as long as the games arent -blam!-. And yes, i do think ODST and Reach combined would outsell a Halo 4.

Don't base whether or not you buy a game on its graphics. Gameplay and how fun it is are what matter most. Not the textures of the grass that you will never need to look at!

Oh, peace has not been achieved.
1. There are six other Halos, with Flood probably in them (except maybe Delta Halo, as the Gravemind could have emptied it in order to fully infest High Charity).
2. The Covenant homeworlds are alive and well.
3. The Insurrectionists are still out there.
4. We can't say that the Elites are all that trustworthy.

blarg777 makes pretty valid points. Earth technically isn't allies with the Elites and vice versa. It was more like an unsteady alliance when MC and Arby teamed up to bring down the Prophets.

Yes there are still many other Halo rings out there (by my count 5?). Just because the Prophets are out of the way doesn't mean there isn't room for any other race to take control of Covenant leadership.

Activision would do horrible in continuing this series. Yeah I like Guitar Hero, but look where the series is going: they're re-hashing old songs from old games, still trying to turn a profit, and look where the Tony Hawk series went (American Wasteland? Who played THAT?).

IMO, Bungie/M$ should knowledge the young, unknowing Halo players and do a current-gen remake of Marathon.

Not THAT would be gooood.

Halo Reach will be Bungies last Halo game. Microsoft is building a studio just for the Halo Franchise. Microsoft willcarry on the Halo name. SO any other Halo games after REACH microsfot will be handling.

we should fling them on a giant sling shot into the sun
