Subject: How to use natal in Halo reach

i think that we could use project natal AND the controller. Just some ideas:
-Give orders to your allies with your hand or voise (ex "cover me" or "scout"). That would be awsome because marines have the worst A.I in the game. You could give them some help like that, in a fast way.
-drive the warthog or other veicles like seen in the demo of project natal.
-Give some fun to sword or hammer fight. You could take the controller like a swordand program natal to recognise some positions like: low attak, head attak, fast attak, long attak, defend etc.
-melee attack by making a movemet of your hand.
-drop equipment by making a movement of your other hand or a finger , so we can use the x botton to something usefull.
-(opcional) use the full capacity of natal to make melee more intresting. In halo 3 the elites are like ninjas, and you are like a retarded...
-change the firing mode of a weapon whith voice or with a movement of the hand will be intresting.
-TEAMWORK, no more headsets!!
-crouch...crouch system is horrible in halo, natal may solve this
-take torrets
-hijak tanks by making some spesifics moves, if you don't make them correctly you won't be able to hijack the tank.
-maybe interact more with the envirement
-an easyer way to make forge!!!! yeah

Or I will just use a controller...

I hate how people are automatically saying that Natal with Reach would be a terrible idea. Bungie isn't stupid, they aren't going to just rely on Natal to control the game because that would be so hard. It most likely won't even have an effect on multiplayer because the BETA is coming out in early 2010 (most likely) and Natal isn't going to be out at that time.

If Natal makes campaign more immersive or just has small, creative bits used in the game why should people be so against it? It's a smart business move by Microsoft, using it to get both hardcore gamers onboard and attract some casual gamers at the same time, give it a chance before we treat it like the Wii...

B-Boy Disconnect From Area 51 Break Dance crew
Montreal ,Qc(CANADA)
(Watta Team)
disconect , Dr Killer
Sykore , Alazd3ath
Deathuman

in my point of view ,i say NO
because its a skills game and with natal ,it would be more like a familly game
so keep the controler

  • 06.30.2009 8:20 PM PDT

i didn't say to delate the controler, i just said complement it, move, aim shoot with the controler, but give orders to the marins and small things like that with natal. I agree, the controller is esential and can't be replaced, but small and cool things like driving a warthog whith your hands would be cool.

  • 06.30.2009 8:24 PM PDT

giving orders would be excellent(though you could just use a headset for this couldnt you?) maybe make it usable with a controller and then for peopel who want to use Natal they can have added bonuses like you mentioned.(Though I think I might have just restated your OP lol)

Part of NATAL is the voice recognition so without it and just a headset it wouldnt work.

you could make hand movements too, beacause, voice is harder to recognise. Also i want to drive a warthog with my hands jujuju :)

  • 06.30.2009 8:47 PM PDT

BOOM Headshot!

im all with for the forge, but gameplay? natal would just make it kind of hard and definitley tiring. ya voice commands would be cool and mongoose and warthog driving would be sweet, but seriously.

It isn't our shiznit anymore.

What were all doing is looking at that plate of spinach and saying, "ewww, it looks so gross, it must taste bad." Have any of us ever played a game with natal? I doubt you could compare it with the wii, because they are two very different devices. I can see how it can be bad for those on the competitive side of gaming, but what natal is is a step in the right direction for Virtual Reality technology. Natal is just paving the way.

I'll eat u

how about istead of critisizing natal we should look at hat we can do to make it easier to play with halo like instead of deleting the controller we can like have a half of a controller in each hand have the X,B,A,Y buttons on one side with the and the aiming stick andRT and The RB on it then the other side have the walking joy stick and with LT and LB to make it easier to play it and plus its hard to aim a gun when there is no gun in your hands.

i like the idea of voice commands and forge but every thing else no. and whats wrong with the crouch system in halo? You click the left stick and it works fine
