Thank you sir, that was an epic rendition of this topic.

and how!

The grenade makes the car move, which shows it is a unique object and not just scenery molded with the ground.

Besides, this is in no way proof against it, but rather evidence against it if you see it as such.

you dont undertand my point i was busting the theroy that people speculated in the e3 demo. just beacuse they walk around the car and avoid it they assume they are trying to hide the "Hold RB/B to get in".

They had more time to work with the engine and most things react like that in Halo 3 Forge i.e. the Trucks on foundry.

Why would they let you drive police vehicles. Thats so NOT Bungie

  • 07.01.2009 2:09 PM PDT

why did he throw a frag at that car and then when you saw him at the second one it looked like he was tea-baging and he was avoiding to use it as cover when he was geting shot by those grunts seems a bit odd? but remember halo 2 had cars like that but not that big, though we may have to see for are selfs until its out

Mythical Group

There is no greater catharsis than arguing on the Flood.

I don't believe they would be anyways. It's not practical.

"Dear Bungie.net, we regret being stubborn bastards, we regret coming to this forum, and we most definitely regret that Darth Kooky blew up our raggedy-ass opinion!"

We can still have dreams about driving cop cars in ODST you know.

Joe Staten avoided the 2 police cars quite well. He never got close enough to prove or disprove the theory. As for camera angles, Warthog...'nuff said.

That doesn't prove anything. The driver side is probably the other side of the car anyways. We never know what Bungie has for us. Wasn't the mongoose confirmed? We'll probably be able to drive that around. Using a conventional vehicle would be strange because the camera angle would be too different and complex.

I almost literally facepalmed when she asked if you where still Master Chief.

Also he was fighting a Brute and the guy said "So, the covenant are in this game yeah?".

[*Please note that anything in my posts is likely to be filled with sarcasm, and should be taken with a pinch of salt. I tend to help people, usually*]

1. Whilst driving a Police Car would be absolutely hilarious and not-very-Bungie, that's the same thing that I thought about playing as Johnson with a VISR in Firefight. Look what happened there. It's a fricking video game, if Bungie decides that it works for their game, they'll do it. Whilst I don't believe it'll happen, you're more than welcome to believe what you want until the game is released and we all know for sure.

2. The reason the two presenters were asking such "stupid questions" wasn't because they've no idea what's in the, game, they're asking that to confirm to casual and hardcore gamers, and even perhaps to people who haven't ever heard of Halo before, so would've been confused about certain elements of the game. They're there to ask questions, even if they know the answers. That's their job.

3. What's with the huge lack of common sense (lol irony), and logic in this thread? Bungie have said that a lot of things were changed, and scripted differently for the E3 Demo of ODST. So if somehow, Police Cars were drivable, that would count as something that Bungie would want to keep secret and surprise people with. So yes, they would hide the Hold RB function if that were the case.

Even still, I wasn't aware that basic-training for ODSTs now included "Hot-wiring for the 26th-Century Vehicle 101".
