Campaign -
A battle scarring system - Through out the campaign your armour gets damaged from bullets, fire, plasma, Mud, and weather.
Descisions - Being able to make descisions that affect how the mission plays out and its difficulty.
Different perspective endings - The ending from someone elses view, this depends on what you did to complete the final mission and campaign.
Longer campaign - Longer than Halo 2 and 3, maybe as long as Halo CE or longer.
Pelican missions - Missions that require you to pilot a pelican, here is my idea for one - Your being dropped from space in a pelican, something happens to the pilot and you have to fly it to Reach and each time you got hit it was harder to control and eventually you would enter a Crash mode were is was almost impossible to control but you had to land as safe as possible and save the marines for the misson to come.
Create your Spartan for begining - Being able to customize his/her armour, colour, name, Spartan number, Prefere weapon to start with (on begining mission and missions where your at a UNSC base) , Specialtys (Your spartan is better at something than other spartans).
Huge battles against covenant - Large base battles, Space battles, zero gravity stuff.


Matchmaking and customs -
Big maps
flyable pelicans and phantoms
Underwater and zero-gravity maps
Maybe Brutes

Forge -
Start from scratch canvas
Fires
Water, trees and rocks
Destroyed veichles/Cars
Glassed battlefields
Craters

There are a few good ideas, but some make the game seem like an RPG

Player model damage(sounds sweet but may be too much, also how would you get rid of it?)

Flashlight in single and multiplayer(hmmm, this could be useful if Reaches online maps are as dark as i imangine they will be)

There should definetly be a flyable pelican, it should be able to pick up warthogs also.

Nice List, I see you have one of my Ideas up there. But don't credit me with it. Search for it weather effects for Multiplayer maps and you might find the original thead with more details. This was a long time ago before Halo 3 even came out, I just remember it because it was cool, but I was not the first forum goer to think that up.

And also, a Multiplayer mode that ties in with the overall story of the game, It would be Spartans vs. Elites. Make the Multiplayer part of the overall cannon in some way. Perhapse a verses campaign mode! Where 4 players play as spartans and the other 4 play as Elites each would have the campaign AI to back them up. It could work well if done correctly.

I love most if not all of these ideas.

With the armor colors, should just had a color wheel/graph. So you pick the base color, then can movie different bars higher or lower to get whatever color you want.

1 problem I found is that in campaign when you shoot up a brute, their armor falls of first. So if it brutes were playable characters (which would be awesome!) it would seem kinda weird shooting them and instead of their armor breaking off they just fall over and die :( lol.

Big team with a lot of people (24-32) would be epic!

And more maps based on campaign levels, like in CoD4 the multiplayer maps are the actual campaign missions just blocked off in some spots. Or close at least.

its actually the other way around to me, like they easily copied the maps from campaign, edit a few walls and such and were done with it, not much work put into it, and thats a good color note ill add it

I have a idea for a class system using character models. You choose your model the same way you choose spartan or elite in Halo 3. You change your stats between the given ranges for Speed, Sprint Speed, Meele Strength, Jump Height, and Health by adding weight to your character in the appearance customization option. Your weight then affects the previously listed traits, but only between the given ranges for each model. In customgames you can toggle on/off whether everyone will have the stats they gave their models. I don't realy care about sprinting it was just a option I threw in so if you don't like it I don't care. This is just a example so Bungie would fix any problems and balance the traits of each model.

Classification: Spartan
Starting Weapons: Assault Rife, Battle Rifle, 2 Frags
Max Carrying Capacity: 2 weapons, 2 grenades, 1 equipment
Min-Max Weight: 500-550 lbs
Min-Max Speed: 120-145%
Sprint Speed: 150-165%
Sprint TIme: 7 seconds
Sprint Recovery Time: 5 seconds
Shield Strength: 100 points
Shield Recovery Time: 5 seconds

Hnn, having to unlock spartans and elites would make alot of people pissed i think, and also what about brutes and normal marines? i dont think that this would work cause having to unlock main playable characters would be annoying for lots of people and well mainly that, cause most halo players arnt patient people, and adding to much character change at once would frighten and confuse most casual players who just want to play the simple *pick character go to battle and fight people*

I think Halo Reach needs a much, stronger vehicle, like a Pelican, but instead of 2 Spartan Laser shots (it gets destroyed), make it 5. I hate getting into a Warthog and dying instantly, by a Spartan Laser. So when players do find a Pelican, they'll know that they will survive!

Make Forge, in 2. Advance and Average?
Advance would be like the normal forge in Halo 3,
But the Average Forge will have a Grid System, making it easier for placing walls, boxes, ect..

item 1# i like the pelican phantom idea but my idea is that each dropship (pelican,phantom, spirit has small trump cards on each other like the pelican'shas missle and larger passenger occupantiany , or the phantom can get more turrets where the crew can man for more accuracy and the pahntom can be fatser than the other 2 , and the spirit (halo ce dropship) can have better armor and less time used for droping off troops

too much of a good thing spoils its fun, i think head shoulders and body(head and shoulders body wash rofl)and legs would be fine, and the boots would be part of the legs

i dont know what that last dropship is like so i dont have a comment on it but as for phantoms that sounds fine but i doubt we will get 2 huge airship vehicles in one game
