I think Bungie should swallow their pride and use this engine, maybe modify off of it. Because the only reason they wouldn't use an engine this beautiful, is from sheer pride of themselves.

I'd love to be a 10 year old and tell my mom I'm going on an adventure out into the world catching Pokemon, with her full support. Never mind the fact that there are rapists, criminals, and murders out there, or the fact that I may get killed by a Pokemon.

Luckily I have Pikachu.

Bungie uses their own engines, I wish more developers would quit using CryEngine and Unreal.

1337 speak for "I am better than you." is "Z0mG!11!!!1 1 i5 4r3 c4N pWN uR f4C3!11!!!!!11!!1 n00B!!!11!!1

I think it would be cool if they worked the geo-mod 2 engine into it, but it doesn't work so well with FPS games.

gamertag- Da Big Mann

yeah that engine is amazingly real looking, but halo is more of almost a comicish look.

"The strength of the pack is the wolf, the strength of the wolf is the pack."

"Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me..."

ODST for life

I don't see whats wrong with using each others engines. If it allows you to make the best possible product then so be it.

I would hope that Bungie either greatly improves their Halo 3 engine or creates a totally new one. They have got to keep up with the industry and I don't know if the original Halo 3 engine is top of line, although ODST looks to be much improved.

Doc: "i'm a pacifist"
Caboose: "your a thing that babies suck on?"
Tucker: "no dude, that's a pedephile"
Church: "tucker, i think he means a pacifier"

By the way, I've seen you specifically mention a few times now statements like "since they chose to stay with an FPS". Does that disappoint you or something? If so, what genre were you hoping for it to transfer into?

I'm not so much dissapointed with the continuation of the FPS games, as much as I was simply hoping for something new. Too much of the same thing can become stale, and I was hoping for gameplay that could really flesh out the abilities of the Spartans. An FPS is constrained to a degree, which is why MC's abilities as a Spartan are downplayed for the games.

I wasn't hoping for a drastic departure, but something fresh. They could still accomplish this in an FPS, but I was bummed to hear about it.

I dont mind Halo 3's graphics at all but i would love to see them use the CryEnigine 3, simply because its better then halo 3's, but if Bungie made their own, I would be at peace with that as long as it could compete with the more popular engines like Unreal and CryEngine 3
