War is a terrifying reality, and, as much as i hate to admit it, it's better for Bungie to release a product that's more real. I mean, when i play Gears of War, I am often times brought to tears laughing when a dude gets blown to bits by a grenade. But, in games like Call of Duty: World at War, I see guys running around towards a small house in an attempt to shield themselves from truly horrific artillery barrages, and when they lose arms or legs, it mkakes me think " . . . Jesus H. Christ, that could've been me . . .".
In all honesty, I think that may be an element we will see Bungie introduce as the story progresses into the clutches of Halo: Reach, not only because it is high time they increase the emotional and mental pinpoints of the game, but because they are dealing with more de-sensitized audiences than ever, thanks to the war in our real world, and dealing and tossing an "audience-safe" product would be a very, very bad move for their income and for their reputation.
