I said adding some would be alright. It'd add too the realism. But adding gore to the extent of gears just wouldn't be good imo. So I think you misunderstood my post. No one wants exploding bodies. I'm okay with more blood, just not over the top.

$.50 in store credit.

While we're at it, let's make every character in the game swear no stop. That will make us cool.

A little bit of added realism to the gore wouldn't bother me, but there is no need for it.

I'm fourteen and a half years old, not an adult. The point is, eight to ten year old children shouldn't be playing these kinds of games. I've seen my share of them when I play -blam!- Zombies or do Matchmaking in Halo. Squealing, screeching, and trash talking are the main points I'm trying to get at here. One time, on Zanzibar (Halo 2 Map), I picked up the sniper rifle there, and then all of the sudden, a whining child, probably around eight to nine years old, comes out of nowhere and starts screaming and shooting at me. Luckily I was able to fend the little prick off with a snipe to the head, so hopefully he wouldn't try it again, but of course, he kept coming back for more until finally I was downed by him and the enemy, which both of them started to shoot at me. Are you one of them? An eight to ten year old that screams and betrays his teamates for little things like that? Judging, by your grammar, you seem to be quite a bit over ten years old. Or if you aren't, your mother or father probably helped your type that comment. The posts I made before were directed to little kids that are ten or younger, not teenagers...........

Please, don't direct posts to the younger individuals, yes, they are annoying, but you are getting off topic. Also, don't criticize people's grammar if your's isn't the best either.

I would like Halo to have a little bit more realism in it. Not to the point where the gameplay is like CoD, but to a visual masterpiece.

I didn't say his grammar was horrible (I said that, judging by his grammar, he can't be one of those little children), but there's no way a ten year old or younger could type in such a complex spelling format. It's either an adult that supports them, that is narrating him/herself to seem like a child, or a child who got aided by their parents to type the comment. Apparenty, this person places him/herself amongst the younger, non- adolescent individuals.

I did my share of showing off my ideas on the topic about "Halo being gorier and grittier". Check back in the thread and you'll see a whole bunch of comments and replies that were related to the thread topic. It was some other individuals on this thread who started the converse on the "Children" topic, not me. I just replied to it, because I thought it needed a voice.

This is not Gears of War.
This is not Left 4 Dead.
This is not Fallout 3.

THIS
IS
SPARTA!

But on a more serious note, i reckon you are absolutely correct. I would like some sort of armour scarring effect, or even the replacement of the normal Halo 3 Multiplayer skins with those from the Beta (the ones in the bata had dents, scarring, and the colours were more matte, looked fantastic)

!

halo is amazing but i think adding more bloodshed would be awesome and add to the game play

if you knew anything about this game and or read the books youd know that to head shot a spartan and have his head explode is impossible. nough said. the armor is designed for one reason. not letting that happen. the blood you see is a little that escapes the bullet holes. so if you were to get shot by a rocket and have your spartan explode like a boom shot does in gears of war, that would be the most rediculous thing ever created in gaming history. halo stands as it is. if you have a problem with bungie making amazing games, do yourself a favor. tell em yourself so they can smack you and ban you from life.

Trusting Bungie got us this crap ranking system, besides, armor damage is not asking to much, and its not making the game GoW style at the same time, plp who dont want kill cams or more gore need to get off this page and make a thread like, "Why Halo should stay Generic and boring..."

Halo has proven that it doesn't need to be gory to be great.
How many games that have a ton of gore have just gone by the wayside while halo remains strong? Too many to count is the answer...Sure it is fun to see stuff splatter everywhere but in the end I would rather have the studio spend their time and money making an amazing story with tons of re-playability and unreal multiplayer.

If I just wanted gore then I would go play one of those kill a stickman games.

The person who said participating is important, not winning, obviously never won anything.

Halo CE was the game with the most blood, you could melee a body to the point were so much blood would be on the floor that the game laged when you looked there. Maybe a little more blood then Halo 3 would be better, like Halo2 was, was fine.

Yea, true. but the story has already been written, so they need to fix those gameplay issues, and they will spend hella time on the new network for it. Armor damage plz?

I do not appreciate B.Net Group solicitation. If you ignore this and send me an invitation anyway, I will block communications with you.

There was, at one point, development to have a small degree of dismemberment in Halo 3. There was a wireframe rendering put into one of the ViDocs that depicted an Elite brandishing dual-Energy Swords who swept a Brute, cutting off both his feet, and then stabbed him in the chest as he fell to the ground.

Honestly, Halo taking a gory direction wouldn't be so bad, but I don't think it should take a gory direction unless it has a need to. Gears of War just kind of has it for the sake of "realism", which, honestly, isn't that realistic anyway.

If Halo got gory, I would want it to be so in order to depict a truly dreadful atmosphere... not just for the sake of having blood and guts flying across my screen for simple looks.

Despite it's "M," rating, it's a kid's game. It just wouldn't be with all that gore.

Um NO ITS NOT! they swear alot and there is alot of blood and many -blam!- things bungie put in there. This game is rated M for a reason. What do you mean "despite its M rating" this game is rated M because its NOT for kids.

Well, most people are forgetting the fact that both the elites and the spartans are protected by a super strong armor. But it would be interesting to see a more violent Halo. I think severing on grunts will be pretty funny

  • 07.09.2009 8:17 AM PDT

I think this game could be a bit more gory, but they shouldn't add chainsaws or something like that. Just because GoW is really gory doesn't mean that Halo has to be. Look where bungie has gotten so far, without intestines flying everywhere. If they do decide to make it more gory, they shouldn't do anything major. I like it just the way it is.

GTFO THATS Would wreck halo

Call Of Duty WaW moved to a mid-Violent game, where their arms, legs fell off. The gameplay is still the same, just like Call Of Duty 4.
Adding violent in Halo wont change the Gameplay at all.
