Don't base whether or not you buy a game on its graphics. Gameplay and how fun it is are what matter most. Not the textures of the grass that you will never need to look at!

Storm the base. I've actually had a few ideas similar like that. If I could add on to ur idea....
(gona use highground as an example)
Storm the base (how I would like to see it) would actually be more of a full base (like highgrounds base) and it has good defensive positions. Alot of portions of the base would be destructable after taking a sum amount of damage. (the side of bunker isnt opened up. Instead, you have to create the hole urself)
Defending gate controls and such would be a critical objective for the defenders, since you want to keep your attackers in the most minimal areas possible. (in order to help with this though, it would require like 5-10 seconds to activate the controls for the offensive team. Balance purposes)
Doing damage to the base would rack up points (similar point system to KOTH), but there would, of course, be a time limit. IMO, there wouldnt be a certain unique 'reactor' or such, but there would be generators and things that would be worth a few more points than other things. (they would be the farthest back in of course)
It would do this for 4 rounds (offense, defense, offense, defense. or vice versa) and the team that would end up with the most points would win. (Kills would also count IMO at least a point or so)
Not meaning to take ur idea or anything biarg, and as you have read, I was thinking of something similar lol. Overall, no matter how it played, an "assult the base" gametype would be freakin cool.
I don't think you're stealing at all, man. You pretty much read my mind when it came to this idea. If you've ever played the first Unreal Tournament, you know what we're talking about. There was an AMAZING game mode where you'd do exactly what Ghoulishtiell described here. It would be absolutely great.
