I do not appreciate B.Net Group solicitation. If you ignore this and send me an invitation anyway, I will block communications with you.

Try reading the full interview before you panic. Reach will not utilize Natal in a substantial way.

It could work for maybe a small mechanic of the game. But for the full thing, I don't think it would work very well.

But Natal might surprise us all.

  • 07.01.2009 10:12 PM PDT

What a waste....

HELL NAW!

Its just a mini freak out. I know that Natal is still just coming up and that Bungie is just looking. As always nothing is certain.

I don't think that it will die, I think Halo will never die actually. But I'm sure Bungie will not make their gamers buy Natal in order to play Reach. Hopefully we will have options. Hopefully...

motion sensing tech is trying to appear on every console i feel it is a fail idea. (the wii fail)

i just dont think it could ever work for a FPS.

  • 07.01.2009 10:24 PM PDT

OMG a girl!

I don't mind if we have to use natal for Halo, will at least keep people healthy :D

Also, yes, wii fail, thats why it's sold more than the 360 and PS3 >_> such a failure.

Yeah I see what your saying. I'm not a big wii fan and the whole motion thing will make feel weird.....especially if I'm in front of other people who don't get it or aren't gamers.

This was intended to Josephson

yeah because every one thought it was going to be good. (and more families bought it because it is a more friendlier system)

You know you are good at GH3 when you can have a "bad" run on through the fire and flames

why is this a bad thing?
I'm sure that natal will only take up a small part of the game. You know its bungie and if using natal isn't going to be fun, they aren't going to use it.
Besides, natal looks awesome. If anything, I'm more interested in this game after hearing this anouncement

  • 07.02.2009 1:30 PM PDT

This whole thing goes back to an interview with bungie saying that they had natal and were looking into it for future projects.

Don't judge Natal before it is out. It may be amazing, or it could be mini-game shovel ware crap. We won't know until is out. IMO it does have potential to do great things.

i just dont want it to -blam!- up halo. you shouldnt test a new project on a good game thats like trying a new type of botox on your favorite celebrity it just might -blam!- them up for good

Loyalty is all I have.

It's ok, change is a scary thing, just curl up in a little ball and cry for a bit and then it will be all better.

  • 07.02.2009 2:29 PM PDT

no its bull-blam!- thats what it is they tried these motion sensing games before on a console and it was all bull-blam!- mini games. it will never -blam!- work for a FPS

  • 07.02.2009 2:33 PM PDT

Reach MMO. Here's to hoping.

And the people that believe "the hardcore playlists would be more popular if the rules were strictly MLG" can come off it, now. If you're not willing to support something close to your own setup, there's no reason for us to believe that cloning our own lists and stripping the variety down will attract more people. -- Shishka, Bungie.net

Never? Wow, if you don't want change just stay with Halo 3 forever. There is no point in making a brand new game and just tweeking a few things.

Ah, but Natal is not just a motion sensing camera, it does other things like facial and voice recognition, which could be used to issue orders than have them acknowledge you in them game. But that's not cool at all, it's all been done before in all those other motion sensing games, oh wait.......It hasn't. Thats because Natal is a bit different, and I think those are the things people are forgetting. Change can be good people.

May I point you to the Wii game Metroid Prime 3: Corruption and The Conduit? Kindly take your rabid fanboyism elsewhere. You do not know how Natal will be used in Halo :Reach. Maybe it might be *gasp* optional? OMG!!

  • 07.02.2009 3:00 PM PDT

Wow people just need to shut up and stop freaking out about Natal. They already said it will not be the main way to play the game. They said they might make it compatible at most. So you can unclench your controller a little and relax, it's not going anywhere soon.

  • 07.02.2009 3:25 PM PDT

Without me, it's just "Aweso".

Natal will be cool for some things in the game, but not the core gameplay mechanics.
