I would like to share some ideas to make Halo : Reach matchmaking more intesting and realistic.
WALL OF TEXT WARNING ! READ AT YOUR OWN RISK
Like in the ODST cutscene on the UNSC Frigate, the people talk for a little bit next to a hologram of their mission, once all the players are loaded and set each team can either veto or accept, if they accept, red lights and sirens activate, motioning for them to get weapons and in the Pelican to drop them off at the base or safe zone.If they veto the mission, the hologram loads a different mission/map and they suit up for the drop off.
I know wat you are thinking at this point of my idea, where are the ODSTs? The ODSTs could occur for the higher-ranking officers at the start of Big Team Slayer games or when people respawn, but they respawn with starting weapons inside the weapon holders of the HEV pod you dropped down in.
Quitters and Traitors I think will still be a problem for Halo : Reach, my thoughts-
Quitting could be on your pause menu/Visor commands(the thing from Halo 3 : ODST) but it doesn't say *Quit*, it says *Summon an Dropship* which could be used in a number of ways,
1.Leaving the Battle
2.Taking a POW
3.Dispatching of a Traitor
4.Dropping Vehicles, Equipment, and/or re-enforcements
The four options above take five minutes each to execute, meaning there can only be one dropship at a time for the whole team, and each option requires a certain amount of kills or events happening. If you choose option 4, you could also do options 1-3 at the same dropship, if you choose option 3, you could also do options 1&2 and so forth.
*Leaving the Battle- takes at least 5 kills.
*Taking a POW- takes 1 downed and cuffed enemy.
*Dispatching of a Traitor- takes 1 betrayal and a team vote, you also must down and cuff the Traitor.
*Dropping Vehicles, Equipment, and/or re-enforcements*
Vehicles- 25 kills from the whole team,*1 Scorpion or 1 Warthog and 2 Mongooses.*
Equipment- your team or the enemy team has 30 kills.
People that leave the battle make an empty slot on the team for another team-mate to load up the map and drop down feet first into hell as an ODST.
Thanks and more ideas are welcome!
