Well since ODST is 2 disced i was wondering, do you think they will finally add the Fuel Rod and the Sentienal Beam (sorry for spelling) with in the Matchmaking?

What about the inbred house potatoes?!

.

Why would they add those weapons into matchmaking just because there is two discs?

"The national budget must be balanced. The public debt must be reduced. The arrogance of the authorities must be moderated and controlled. Payments to foreign governments must be reduced if the nation doesn't want to go bankrupt. People must again learn to work instead of living on public assistance." -Marcus Tullius Cicero, 55 B.C.

No, they both cause lag in Matchmaking, so you will not see them.

Hmmm...I know lag will be prevented but I think matchmaking is better without.

Reach: 2010

Why does a man climb a mountain? Because it is there..

"Wow! It's like the money-shot is on MY face!"

Doubtful, the 2 disc design seems to keep all the aspects of the original Halo 3 multiplayer design, so they would have to change it at the source.

NO. Jeez the concept isn't hard to understand. The second disc is Halo 3 matchmaking, forge, custom games, and theater I think. Nothing about those have been changed except the added maps!

  • 07.02.2009 10:46 AM PDT

Probably not. The second disc that contains Halo 3 Multiplayer doesn't contain anything new other than the Epic Map Pack.

No new weapons, no new equipment, no new vehicles, no new armor.

  • 07.02.2009 10:47 AM PDT

Well that sucks :(

  • 07.02.2009 10:48 AM PDT

Well, Heretic, Citadel, and Longshore could contain either one (or both), but I doubt it.

Do we really need a fuel rod? It's not as powerful as the rocket (it takes two direct shot to koll someone). The Sentinal beam is one of the cheapest weapons in Halo 3. It can shoot across the map in a continuous stream, and it takes out your shilds fast. That weapon isn't in matchmaking for a reason.

Also, it's not that hard to grasp the two disc thing.

  • 07.02.2009 11:05 AM PDT

Well i was just thinking it would be cool to have them in matchmaking

  • 07.02.2009 11:08 AM PDT

One's useless, one is very cheap. The fuel rod takes two direct shots to kill someone. Why have that when you can have the more powerful, one hit, one kill rocket launcher? The Sentinel Beam's inclusion would cause an uproar by the majority of the Halo 3 population. It can shoot across a map and take your shields out fast. The sniper would be countered easily with this. Then, people will go for the Sentinel Beam every time they start MM.

good point

I can understand why you would think that that the Sentinel Beam would be cool in MM. That's what I thought when I started playing H3 MM. But as I continued and when my friends played custom games with the Sentinel Bean on the map, we realized just how much unbalance the Sentinel Beam would cause.

Here’s what Luke had to say about the differences in treatment between the Spartans and Elites in Reach:

“Instead of piece-by-piece customization like the Spartans, Elite customization is a full model swap with models selected from the various Elite classes appearing throughout the Campaign. There are all kinds of reasons for this, not the least of which is our continued emphasis on the Spartan as your identity in Reach.”

Sentinel Beam doesn't cause lag. It is approved for ATLAS and is on one of the maps for the Bungie Vs World playlist.

It's not in matchmaking because its overpowered.

I just want the Carbon in Custom Games.

  • 07.02.2009 1:12 PM PDT

why would you want them the rocket launcher is better than the fuel rod and the senital beam is rubbish

  • 07.02.2009 1:14 PM PDT

the sentinel beam is basically a tonned down spartan laser without the chargeing time, and it runs down on battery power extremely fast so i dont see the problem, also have you played on bungies recent maps they released? avalanche and sandbox have new versions of the hornet with extremely reduced machine gun power and no rockets, so i dont see how they cant change the stats on the sentinal beam. also i have seen far more BS and lag with the spartan laser in matchmaking than with the sentinal beam anywhere else, missing people and killing them, shooting through walls and so on. and i dont see how they can use the flame thrower but not a tiny amount of flame grenades, maybe one or 2 on the map as power weapons
