Just thought it'd be a good idea. I know H2v failed, but that was because of poor overall marketing and making of the game. It was poorly optimized, you had to have vista to play it (nobody wanted vista back then, or even now, hah), nobody wanted to play the same game they bought two years earlier, it wasn't multi-platform (you couldn't play against people on xbox live), and there wasn't much of a graphical improvement. I think if Bungie were to take into its hands a multi-platform game, not exactly that it had to be where people playing on the PC played people on the xbox, seeing as how that may be an unfair advantage to people on the PC, but that if Bungie were to make it it'd be made right, people would buy it, and they'd receive much more revenue seeing as how a lot of people would buy both versions, and a lot of pc gamers would buy it where they wouldn't have bothered otherwise. It's just an idea, and I hope Bungie, being the beasts they are, would consider it.

P.S. Look at Halo 1's success on the PC, I mean what, 6 years later and it's still going strong!? That's something to think about too.

Check out my youtube channel. http://www.youtube.com/user/ultratog1028

halo 2 vista failed because it was on vista.
vista fails and thus halo 2 vista fails.

plus changing free multiplayer to not free hurt its sales.

it was a bad idea microsoft.

if they made online free, sure. but i don't think micro$oft will do that.

Yes. Yes. A million times yes. I do most gaming on my PC nowadays, and having Halo Reach would be awesome. Although if its not being developed for PC at the same time as 360, it could easily end up being a bad port like H2 Vista.

Yeah, I was hoping they'd take into consideration games won't do well if ported two years later *cough* h2v *cough*. I was hoping this would get a leg up on it. Plus the map editing abilities would be extremely increased. Even if there was just an option to make a map from scratch using a program on a pc rather than just moving objects around in forge. I agree vista was the downfall of h2v, as well. I'd love to have the ability to play against kids on the xbox, seeing as hwo they always brag about how I wouldn't be able to touch them if I had a mouse and they had their controllers... haha. But I'd love to see Bungie do something for the PC community again. They released an update a couple months ago that was a big success, and also released high numbers of people still playing H1. You could go on now and there are over 200 servers up, with over a thousand people playing... It's past midnight, and that's a 6 yr old game. I really want a new Halo experience on the PC that isn't a fail (H2v)... Leave a good impression on the PC community with a Reach port.

I wonder if they ever make Xboxlive a free service that be Awsome :) instead of buying retail cards of months or sumithing creditcard info.

Chances are they won't. Windows Live is free, but you can buy a membership if you want to host games :/
