Subject: Once ODST and Reach come out we can never go back

To bungie and all gamers /residents of bungie.net. through the forums there has been a lot of hype about the future release, Halo 3: ODST. Some say ODST looks like its going to be one of the worst games of the franchise, others speak quite highly of the game. If you read past weekly updates you can see the protagonists and antagonists of the game. MOst of you have probably tried to figure out all about this new game. But while this game is new who said it would be good? well of coarse that is all opinion, but this game is not exactly like the halo we are all used to. Bungie should just play it smart and continue not comparing this to halo 3. If they did, people would realize that it could never compare to the old school beatdowns of Masterchief or the warlord like tendencies of the arbiter. All this game is gonna be is some cool looking marines
with smg's killing brutes. But don't get me wrong, I will without a doubt play this game., and probably love it, But its not like the other halos. Masterchief has had a good run, but its time for a new hero

You are no longer masterchief, you are human and you aren't invincible.

Yeah, that's why it's going to be epic. The old Halo style was getting boring, ODST is a fresh and well-received change.

they're going to run with this and make sequels to this like the other halos, suppose they make three, it adds up to seven

Halo Reach, ODST 1,2,3 plus Halo ce,2,3 thats seven!

I'm gunna say this because I played all of Bungie's previos games.....Bungie has never made a bad game.

Marathon, Myth, Gonp, the orginal Halo trilogy all those games are Bungie's actually franchises and those games have NEVER EVER EVER been not well recieved.

Bungie knows what their doing they no what we want and they know they can do it because they are Bungie and they NEVER EVER failed at making a good game.

You're pretty much saying that people shouldn't assume ODST is going to good since it's so different from "regular" Halo's, yet you're pretty much assuming that because of this, it's going to be bad?

Follow your own "advice" and critique/form an opinion about the game AFTER you've finished playing ALL of it.

No one in the general public knows enough about ODST to form an opinion of being good or bad yet. WAIT UNTIL YOU'VE PLAYED THE GAME.

What antagonists have you seen? Other than the Covies which was a given, we have no idea who, if anyone will be a primary antagonist to the Rookie and his squad.

Why do you think people play on legendary with all skulls on? For the challenge. It's fun to see yourself come so close to death, and yet manage to survive. In fact, that's what happened in all of the old Halos as well.

I really doubt that will happen.

As for the OP, it feels the same, it looks the same, it seems quite alike, but new and different. ODST isn't that big of a step, trust me.

Have you ever played Halo 1? Just asking because if you have played Halo 1 from start to finish, then you know how alike Halo: ODST and Halo 1 are.

It's Halo 1 with Halo 3 graphics and you aren't a super bad ass Spartan. I'll miss Master Chief, but an ODST is pretty cool too.

Technically not a Rick Roll.
That is there for the lyrics, about how Bungie will never give up Halo,
and never let down the fans.
Bungie wouldn't desert us.
That would make us cry.
And I don't think they would tell a lie, that would hurt us (the fans).

I will never give up Halo 3. It will always be a favorite for me.

Nothing is better than gaming through the day, into the night, then back into the day. It's like when you finally push that power button you feel like you've accomplished nothing, but at the same time, you can't stop smiling.

After Halo: Reach there is obviously going to be another game continuing the story of the Chief.
