You can't kill what's dead.

Stand. Fight. Resist. S2F.

Yeah. There's a bunch of these, but these are just some ideas I would like Bungie to read or for the community to expand upon. So take it or leave it.

Armor permutations - instead of just one full option for each body part, a cool idea would to have three or four options for each body part. For example, instead of having just one-piece helmets to choose from, there can be a series of options, such as visor, mouthpiece, upper head, and lower head.

Armor colors - it would be really cool if you could individually color body pieces. Like, instead of having one primary, one secondary, and one detail for the entire set of armor you're wearing, you can take your each part of your Spartan or Elite's body and color it individually. Expanding upon that, the ability to color separate parts even further past just primary and secondary would be cool. Take your chest piece for example and take my idea above. Let's say you have a chest piece you put together using the idea above, you can then go into your customization options and color each individual piece with a primary and secondary instead of your entire body or the entire body part. You can now pick individual pieces of armor to color.

Armor decals/battle damage - Flame and skull decals on your Spartan? Lame to many, but I would love to see this. You have two sets of decals: battle damage and general decals (skulls, fire, colors, etc.). The battle damage decal set allows you to put different pieces of battle damage (bullets, burns, scrapes, scuffs, pings, holes, melted areas, etc.) on different pieces of your armor. Or, there is just a general setting that allows the whole armor to be battle damaged, so it looks balanced. Google the YouTube video for All Points Bulletin Character Creator and watch the decal creation part of it. THAT'S what I'm talking about for your Spartan/Elite.

Anyway. Those are a very, very small percentage of my ideas. If you read them and replied to them, thanks. If not. I understand. I wrote a wall of text, sorry.

Here’s what Luke had to say about the differences in treatment between the Spartans and Elites in Reach:

“Instead of piece-by-piece customization like the Spartans, Elite customization is a full model swap with models selected from the various Elite classes appearing throughout the Campaign. There are all kinds of reasons for this, not the least of which is our continued emphasis on the Spartan as your identity in Reach.”
