I like the squad idea but the idea of 80v80? That is way too massive and would be more like an all out war and would have to be outside on an open field or something which would create a huge lag... Mabye you could downsize it to 10v10? that way there would only be 2 squads and players wouldhave an easier time hearing and identifying everyone. The squad should also be numbered (Red-1, Red-2, and so on) to make it less complicated.

As for the vehicle pickup idea, who's going to waste their time opening up a menu and picking a menu. You would already be dead by the time you selected a vehicle when you could just say, "I need air/land vehicle support to pick me up!"

Your ideas clearly need some revising, BTW i am only giving you constructive critritisism, NOT spamming you with hatemail.

And please do not just turn it down just because it sounds like COD. Give a real reason besides that.


no. classes suck. one person will make a super class and everyone will copy it and it'll make halo boring because everyone will be the same or have a higher advantage over everyone else. people will grow bored, nobody but the hardest of the hardcore will play, people will quit playing halo (due to the fact that they can't compete with the HCG and MLG people and it won't be fun for them.) and halo will die forever.

this is called "net-teching" and is common in CCGs and Minis games. however unlike halo those game genres usually come out with new answers to current problems with every set. i doubt bungie will release a bi weekly patch (people tend to play video games at a higher rate then CCGs and Minis games have tournaments.)

this is why your idea fails. so stop putting it in every topic you see on this forum please.


If everyone copies the same model and armor weight then it will just be regular halo where everyone is the same. No one will have a big advantage over everyone else because there is a limit for status of each class in speed, health, and meele damage. There is nothing wrong with this you just don't like it.

I've never been a fan of CoD starts. I prefer Halo for a reason. I simply don't want to start the game and choose a class. You can already choose what species you want to be and running for weapons isn't that hard. Most people will use BR anyway. This sorta give the poor Brutes a major disadvantage unless they start with Carbine too. A Plasma Rifle takes shields down faster than the AR and AR deals more damage once shields are down. Spiker is good in both fields. This takes away from Halo's Balance.

Halo is practically already squad based. You just have to be able to get people to listen to you. That is what makes a good leader. Just choosing any average joe for Squad Leader would result in demoralizing leaders, jerks, -blam!-s, people that aren't even there, and so on. Just take control of your team and lead them to victory without the SL by your name. A true leader can do that. I can personally say that listening isn't a strong point in Halo's community. They like to sorta do their own thing unless Bungie says they can't. Bungie is our main leader here.

I'm all for new Armor. But new weapons and vehicles is unlikely since this is a prequel. I wouldn't mind seeing the Spectre and Rocket Hog return though.


I think you guys are misunderstanding me. You don't always choose which model you start with for every game. You choose your character the same way you choose spartan or elite in Halo 3. The differences between the models by default should be just over noticible. Even if you change your stats by adding or taking away armor the differences still wouldn't be a big deal.

Unfortunately Brutes would have to have an odd size down for Matchmaking. It's unclear if Brutes were even on Reach. Considering the facts of Elites and Brutes conflicts, I'd say its a good bet there will be no Brutes. I think the armor should just be decoration. All players should have the same initial spawn. But maybe a vote in the lobby on what set to start with. Spartan set, Elite set, or Brute set. Generally players will vote for a set and the set with the highest votes would be everyones start.

We're talking about multiplayer so it doesn't matter if there were Brutes on Reach. Armor would be for decoration and then maybe you could change the actual weight of your model itself. That would still effecthealth, jump height, and speed. If you have playes vote on a character set for a game then it realy takes out the point of this which is having different models running around with different, but balanced traits. Maybe their could be playlist in which there is all Spartans, Elites, or Brutes.

Agreed it is really annoying UNSC SPARTAN every topic i see you are in it either talking about weapon attachments ( wich is a terriable idea ) or this new idea you have about classes ( wich is better then the attachments but still bad and not halo ) if you want classes and attachments then stop posting it in reach and go to the infinityward forums those will suite you well. Sorry dude but your ideas suck go post some really good idea please about a new vehicle or weapon or something and not some half ass thought out idea stolen straight from call of duty.



You just don't agree with them even though the only problem with my class system could be my statistics Bungie would make the character modles and balance them. If you don't like my ideas don't come to my topics.

ok, if it was possible for a game to run well anywhere close to 80 v 80, don't you think they would've made a game that big already? big team is already laggy enough, 80 v 80 would be unbelievably laggy. I think they should make something like 10 v 10 or something, that would be good, and the whole squad idea is stupid, instead you could just talk to your teammates without all of those rules, they would just make the game cluttery, opening up all of those menus your talking about in the middle of a battle would not work at all

Without all those rules do you think anyone would listen to you? There just ideas and I thought being able to call in vehicles that way would be cool!! Guys stop being such*****s
