"Spartans never die Jorge, they're just missing in action"

Hey guys I was wondering is Oni like a devision in UNSC? I noticed in Halo 3 on the HWY stage when the ship warps in the mention they are Oni Recon 9. So the Oni must have been in Halo 3 as well as ODST.

Don't base whether or not you buy a game on its graphics. Gameplay and how fun it is are what matter most. Not the textures of the grass that you will never need to look at!

It is a division of the UNSC, much like the CIA is a division of the US Government, or MI6 Being a division of the British Government. It stands for the Office of Naval Intelligence, and yes, they were in Halo 3, but only in that quick audio cameo.

Correct. Although from what I've read in the novels it seems as though ONI has a little more power than the UNSC as they can collect data and leave without explanation as well as cause information blackout with impunity. They also utilise stealth ships to stay in the shadows during their operations. I tend to think of ONI and the UNSC being two seperate divisions in the UN which is the unified Earth based government at the time.

Mhm, that's why many people don't trust them or their little suspicious missions.

It is a division of the UNSC Navy.
Here's all the info you'll ever need.
