I have a question....... I noticed in the multiplayer "demo" like thing, w/ "Max" as the elite on the Zanzibar map (you all know what im talking about? sorry im a bit sleepy), err and they were showing off destructable vehicles, I dunno about you but didnt it seem that they blew up just a bit easy? I mean I can see with the rocket launcher, its a ROCKET but, the machine gun? In halo: CE I tended to skid a warthog sideways jump out and use it for cover, but if alls it takes is a few bullets from a machine gun to blow the thing up, itz no really worth it... realistic is it? Even now'a'days we have armor on our vehicles right? only HEAVY munitions can blow them up right? I dont see if its such a good idea to have people blowing up a military jeep with a fricking pea-shooter?? I mean I can see if you emptied a LOT of ammo on it, but even then, Im not too sure, what do you guys think?

What he said... and when did they take out a warthog using a machinegun in the video? All they did was shoot off the hub caps, and that was with a battle rifle.

I agree, it took a couple of rockets to finish off that warthog, so I think it'll be just fine.

Hes talking about when they shot the wings off the ghosts. But i think certain parts should be gimpier than others.

Perhaps you should think of it a different way, one well placed shot should be able to flip it.

NOTE: "Well placed."

I think there should be an option to make the vehicles Halo 1 style, indestructible, rediculous physics.

Yes... the only time I would use that option would be to screw around, if I was actually playing I would never turn it on... I hated the way Halo made it so you could shoot a warthogs tire... yet only the driver would be damaged... not the tire.

I don't think you could make vehicles wimpy enough, I think all they should be for is transportation to different areas of the map, not made to run ppl over and gun them down. I mean honestly what skill is there when someone is using a sniper rifle to someone flying a banshee firing down on them and running them over. Vehicles spawn, so if they're destroyed they come back... or so I've heard. I believe if vehicles are destroyed they should not spawn, if you screw it up to begin with then you're not gonna be using it again...

But anyways, no they're not too wimpy.. I think it's GREAT there is a lot of counters to vehicles now. Boarding action, rocket seaking, destructible vehicles.. ahh it's great, no more noobs driving around in warthogs trying to run everyone over. Sure they added new vehicles but since they can be taken down easier now it's a great thing. I admit vehicles can be used skillfully but at least now a person who is much more skilled can take out someone trying to play the entire game while behind the wheel of a ghost or hog.

If vehicles donty respawn, a large level would become one of the most boring within the first 5 minutes. After your assault at the flag is foiled, (the opponents destroy your vehicle)

Every attempt after that is now futile... a waste of time, as your not gonna et out of there without some heavy covering fire, or quick escape!

They made the battle rifle more powerful in that instance to show off the new vehicle feature. They are not that weak. The fact that Wart Hogs can now take two rocket shots for you without you loosing any health seems impressive. In fact, if anything they are too strong.

Oh, and guys, DO NOT judge Halo 2 by the beta test information from earlier posts. I've already seen some complaining (I could almost say somthing stronger than "complaining" in this case). It's a test, not the final game. If you spread the word around common knowledge will be that in Halo 2 vehicles suck and the new HUD is too cluttered- when it's not.
