I dont know if this has been posted (too lazy to search for it) but I personally think that some of the multiplayer maps from Halo PC should be added to Halo 2. Among all of them I would mostly like to see infinity, that has to be one of the best ones. what are your guys thoughts?

There is SOME nice maps on Halo PC, keyword is some. Timberland I enjoyed cause it was a nice sniping map but the maps such as Infinity and Death Island I hated, they are too large and too dependent on vehicles. I hope that Bungie doesn't make all large maps like the makers of Halo PC did, it was simply sad that all maps relied so much on vehicles. I know for 16 ppl you need a relatively large map but that isn't what Halo is, and after playing Halo PC for a week and seeing the large maps and overpowered guns (Fuel Rod Gun and Flamethrower) I simply put it down and didn't touch it again. I personally hope if they do put maps off of Halo PC in that they don't consist of way too large maps like Infinity because they are nothing but a bore to me. Remember Bungie did not make Halo PC, another company did, I don't believe Bungie would have made it so vehicle based, they are too smart for that. Sure vehicles can be fun but this is Halo for Christ's sake, it relies on weapon skills... not your ability to imitate a Star Wars movie and fly around.

I'd rather play totally new maps designed to take advantage of Halo 2's new features than play the same stuff I've been playing for so long, now.

I love maps on the original Halo, most of the ones on the PC are trash, the new ones. I hope they keep maps like Hang Em', Chill Out, Dammy, Priz... and just add new things to them or modify them, that'd be a great idea.

And Blood Gulch is a good map if you get rid of all the vehicles. :)

it couldent hurt if H2 had a few "throwback" maps. not askin for many but a blood gulch with all the new H2 features would be awesome...hehe now that H2 has destructable enviroments I want to destroy a wall from my opponents base with a RL and drive right on in with a hog :p

P.S. hang em high was great fun too....

They made large maps for the Banshee. And Halo isn't just about weapon skills.

Well unless you were playing Blood Gulch or Sidewinder it seems to me Halo Multiplayer was pretty much about weapon skills? Thus why they only made TWO maps for vehicles. Remember something, Bungie did NOT make Halo PC.

Also, yeah they made em for the Banshee. In other words they made them for players who wanted to fly around and shoot instead of actually trying to outsnipe or out pistol someone. Honestly, do you believe it takes more skill to run someone over with a banshee than snipe someone across the map? It just gives noobs or players who just suck something to do to score a few kills since banshees are difficult to take down unless you are in one yourself.

Vehicles is what helped Halo to have awesome gameplay. So insect Halo 2 to have more large maps with vehicles playing a part. Not to mention Xbox Live.

Yet not the campaign but the Multiplayer is what made Halo famous and make people addicts, and this mode wasn't made great by vehicles, vehicles actually played very little part unless you was on of the two large, and in my experience at tournaments, LAN parties, and on XBC.. very unused maps other than by noobs who can only drive a warthog and can't shoot a pistol.

Yes, Halo 2 will have large maps made for 16 ppl and vehicles, but they will also have smaller maps made for real games and games played in tournaments, not just by a buncha friends who like to play Destruction Derby and call it Halo.

A good player can kill a noob in a vehicle. Vehicles give Halo more strategy, and Bungie was going for strategy. Bungie wanted to make a FPS that involved alot of strayegy, then just to run and gun like the rest of the FPS. Not only that but Halo was about vehicles, all the way to the very beginning of Halo.

Yes you can kill someone in a vehicle but a noob in a banshee isn't as easy to kill as a noob trying to actually fight. I don't like vehicles, neither does anyone I play with nor anyone I've ever played in a tournament, they are called 'noobified'. That is just my opinion, I am just thankful that in Halo 2 you will be able to destroy them, have heat seaking rockets, and be able to knock the noobs off the vehicles. I just hope they don't spawn and I hope Bungie puts in a way to completely disable vehicles.

I am talking about Halo multiplayer, NOT campaign. I could care less about vehicles in campaign, I won't use them there either.

I assure you if they can be they will be, just like the larger maps will have very little use in actual Halo tournaments... the way it should be. Vehicles are made for players who like that type of thing and noobs, plain and simple.

You don't like noods becaues they find a way to kill you in the vehicles.
You just don't like to loose to a noob.

No.. I don't get killed by a noob and only a noob would have made the comment you made. :) I just don't think they're should be something that gives that big of an advantage to someone and requires so little skill, just my opinion. End of subject..

I said my opinion, I can see you're a kid that cry's about a game or somthing in the game that you don't like because you get killed by a nood doing their own strategy. If you're getting killed by vehicles and you can't stop get killed then you need to make the nood move and use vehicles. Other then that, stop crying.(and i'm not a noob i've played halo for 3 years)
