Not sure if anyone else has noticed this, but Johnson's dialogue that bungie released for ODST (Gotta-lotta-issues) is the exact same dialogue that he uses in Halo 3 campaign. It may just be old news. If you play, for example, on Crow's Nest, and you take Johnson with you throughout the level, you will eventually hear him shout EXACT SAME dialogue that is to be in ODST. Such lines that I encountered are: (There are no words for you! Just **rambling**!), or (I'm gonna teach you all about BLUNT FORCE TRAMA!!!), and (Sorry, I can't hear you with my BULLET in your mouth!) If you don't believe me, just go try it out, but make sure you let Johnson do most of the fighting. So what do you think? Is Bungie trying to save money, are these only EXAMPLE lines, or does Johnson just use the same old material over and over?

I don't care just so long as no other characters talk... or if it's possible to disable. It'll be annoying if everyone talks.

Mythical Group

There is no greater catharsis than arguing on the Flood.

Well, there might be extras thrown in there you didn't catch. Also, the majority of the players haven't heard many of those lines before so it's still somewhat of a new experience to them. Heck, I haven't heard any of the ones you mentioned before, so there you go. XD

How do you get Johnson to fight in Crow's nest? Up unitl the Landing Pad battle he stays in the Ops Centre until he and some marines grease a few drones on their way to the landing pad at which time he says "Brutes attacked in force, disarmed the bomb. Sorry Commander there were too many, even for me." which is scripted to happen.
Otherwise he has no "combat dialogue" in the mission.

Sure Johnson can fight. What you have to do is just, when you start the level, start pushing Johnson where you want him to go, just run ito him or punch him, and basically, you can push him throughout the entire level (semi-slowly). And whenever you encounter an enemy, Johnson's combat AI will kick in and he will confront the enemy. He's actually pretty useful while playing legendary, because if he dies, he always gets right back up, and he never runs out of ammo. Really! go try it. or look it up on youtube.

I'm everywhere, I'm it.

Johnson's comedy is one of the most unique things about Halo, in my opinion.

I'm pretty sure Johnson didn't say "I didn't come back to life for this!" in Crow's nest.

The fight has been complete.... now get the cookies!

While we certainly share your enthusiasm for the return, we here at the Bungie.net community are mostly made up of snarky asses and jerks who will ridicule you for making a thread about something revealed months ago. We regret that your innocent intentions will almost certainly be replied with anger and sarcasm, and politely invite you to don your Flame-suit, because you just did the internet equivalent of jumping up the Construct lifts.

They are original and anything new he sais will mess up his rep.

I would seriously laugh out loud and cheer at my TV if that were the case.

Screw the Rules i have Money!

You have proven that these lines were put in halo 3 but only one mission in which only a few people heard these so why not recycle them I know it seems lazy but as long as some of them are new i will be happy.
