Maybe make them playable in MM, but make them like elephants. So that you can't make they in Forge. Or if you can make them, only being able to make two or so. Also, how would Pelican vs. Pelican work?

I am not to sure about placing htem in MM

I still think that adding the diffrent Pelicans and Phantoms will still work but, I dont know maybe if you take out the Recon/Stealth or the Bombers they will work but if you keep one of the classes it will add variety


It will indeed add variety, but then again.
Thats alot of big vehicles flying around and stuff, it would pretty much make Halo a more vehicle oriented, you still want to have lots of ground action, but the normal pelican would be bale to fight, transport, and look good with simplicty.
Good ideas though.

Agreeable...
I could maybe see some serious Matchmaking Big Teams with this, mostly capture the flag or bomb.
Or just plain Team Deathmatch

I would love the chance to finally fly a Pelican, or have some involvement with it in a battle, no matter if it was in SP or MP.

While they did try this in Halo CE, it didn't work very well, mainly because of lag issues. But also, the Pelican would be overpowered, I mean 3 rocket shots? That's impossible to pull off unless the thing is charging you or flying 2 feet in the air... Also, for all of the passengers to be able to get off before the thing crashes is ridiculous, all you would have done by wasting 3 rocket shots is kill one person and possibly a single vehicle.

Also, why are some people so excited about even the suggestion of flying a pelican? It is basically an oversized Hornet without the 45 mm rockets!

A good Idea could be Two Aircraft Carriers in the middle of the sea, so that Bungie don't have to waste alot of time Making Fancy maps, they can just create an Ocean, though the Amount of Vehicles Needed (like 12 Hornets and 2 Pelicans)..though it would be Epic...

AH BRAINSTORM!

It could be a Whole New Gametype, You have to Sink the Enemy Aircraft Carrier whilst Defending your Own, it would call for some Good Tactics and what not and some Epic Films in the Theatre Mode

It would be like VIP but with wings..........I like it, I really like it but not everybody is a fly boy. To satisfy the land lovers wants, you will need a receiver node on both ships and two sender nodes on solid ground. This is how it will work you spawn in the ship, you take the drop pod for a nice ride down then you will land next to your team's sender node, battle your way across the terrain then go through the enemy sender node to get into the enemy vessel and destroy it from the inside. Bungie cares about all their fans (fortunately/unfortunately).

if we had 24-32 played we would need dedicated servers. which if we had dedicated servers, we could go all the way to 128 players. ive seen it done on halo custom and on a modded counterstrike server with no lag. but the CS server cost the server op like 2000 dollars.

there is a simple way to counter that, most weapons and vehicles will probobly be placed Inside aerial cover, no easy splatter kills. As for taking it down, the sparten lasers inside will do the trick.

No because larger scale gameplay doesn't make a game better, if anything it makes it worse. You lose any sense of self importance with too many people in one game.
