I've played Horde for awhile now, and honestly, it almost always blows having 4 random people, as some quit, others just stand there, and it takes away as it's one of those communicating games where without it, you'll all die. So I rather have 3 friends, or 2 friend, or 1 friend, than to be paired with some person who says "No I want to do my own thing" and takes away form the whole game.
The argument of they should have it in matchmaking is really ridiculous, be happy they're making a new game, if you don't like it don't buy it, but don't complain about it unless you understand how hard it is too make good code for matchmaking. Campaign is A LOT different from online Halo 3. It's not a simple, "Copy and paste this code to here".
'Be happy they're making a game'? THAT'S THEIR JOB FOR CHRIST'S SAKE.
Me being the consumer can want whatever I want in a game. Especially something as simple as a 'Search for players' feature.
If there are idiots on FF, then fine, I'll deal with it. But I'd rather take the chance of getting paired with idiots then having to play by myself when my friends aren't on.
Thank you OP and the_omen, I have been trying to make this point clear. No matchmaking is a pain in the arse.
