I think its a good possibility because in movies and some games the good guy helping you is mainly working for his/her own need and they did say the Superintendent was " Damaged " i wonder.

But there's no sense crying over every mistake.
You just keep on trying till you run out of cake.
And the Science gets done.
And you make a neat gun.
For the people who are still alive.

Nah probably not. Just because Guilty Sparks is an AI doesnt mean the SI will betray :l

Well i guess as long as the "Rookie" Doesnt try to blow up the city ( as MC blew up the ring) he should be fine but what if the rookie finds something about the city and the SI is Corrupt AI.

Four shots, four kills, reload, repeat. This is the work of a sniper.

I'm not sure, but something about your sentence doesn't sound right to me grammar wise. I wouldn't call Gulity Spark an AI either, he's Forerunner technology, not an AI like Cortana, Serena, Mack, Sif, or any other AI we've seen.

People keep assuming that since 343 Guilty Spark, a Smart AI, went Rampant, that the New Mombasa Superintendent will. There is a difference, as the Superintendent is a "Dumb" AI. The difference is extensive, from Physical form, to thought capability, all the way to general awareness. Even so, the Superintendent still can go Rampant, but up to this point he does not have a physical shape, and cannot even attack.

Two wise young men meet at the top of a mountain and futally attempt to push each other off while the third, much older, wise man, that was first to the top, watches. After hours of struggle a victor was decided. As the victor turns to him, too tired to fight more, and the wise old man begins his climb on another hill far above the hill he recently occupied. The victor is left bewildered and lacks the energy to climb further. The wise man and the older wise man were now in their rightful places.

I'm not sure but I just watched eagle eye and if the superintendant is like that in a good way it's going to be f-in sweet.

On second thaught, in the in the level in which you blow up the brigde, super didn't want them to because his derective was to maintain the city and only allowed them once it was convinced it would have been destroyed otherwise.

Lead, follow, or get out of the way!

Or he could put signs up to tell the covies where you are just like he told you where to go.

Bungie wouldn't recycle the same stuff twice for a story... right?

hmmmmm SI might think that we are close to finding out the secret of the city.

  • 07.04.2009 8:45 PM PDT

The superintendent almost seems like a little child just trying to help. i don't think it has the capacity to betray the Rookie

If you don't know who I am, the feeling is mutual.

Nah. The most he'd be able to do is give the Rook directions to a functioning trash compactor.

I'm guessing he'll just be the guardian character throughout the story and won't go evil. He might die, but I'd be surprised if he shoots lasers out of his eyes and tries to let the universe descend into chaos.

Here’s what Luke had to say about the differences in treatment between the Spartans and Elites in Reach:

“Instead of piece-by-piece customization like the Spartans, Elite customization is a full model swap with models selected from the various Elite classes appearing throughout the Campaign. There are all kinds of reasons for this, not the least of which is our continued emphasis on the Spartan as your identity in Reach.”
