How about we go ahead and introduce an incredulously significant point as to not slander the chief and in fact make him level to the ODST in terms of longevity and skill. So the game system is balanced without completely leveling the halo universe, why dont we employ more of a SWAT approach to O.D.S.T. where its incredibly easy to die due to a lack of shielding, so the game really truthfully shows but this might be really hard to swallow, who truly is the better warrior because if you place completely realistic limitations and standards of the time, one shot almost always kills if its a plasma burn. This wil force players to have to become much more of tacticians and make it a much more thinking game on how to achieve the lowest rate of casualties, and force players to have to gain quick trigger fingers. If its indeed so easy to kill it will mesh players into a halo universe where stakes are much higher, tactical knowledge is needed at a premium to succeed, and I think bungie would love to see a fun gaming community slowly evolve into this very intricate, complex group of gamers who garner to more sophisticated forms of combat. It will stimulate a smart gaming community not to get all overanalytical about it, but it would just be for the better I believe if they want to employ a sense of realistic modern warfare in O.D.S.T. Then again, I cant really say I am ever going to be sure I know exactly what theyre aiming for in their games without making sheer assumptions. Basically, keep the O.D.S.T., but advocate for concepts of one shot, one kill and other things that forces the players idea of conventional warfare to evolve.
