I also have a broken caps-lock key, and can't accept the fact that others can gain enjoyment from a game that I've never heard of and have probably got mixed up with Myst so I'm really just showing my stupidity by posting!

Deaf, your an idiot. This is easily proven by the fact that you double posted, had to edit a 3 word post, and that the only way for you to have sex is by raping a video game.

Search through random discount bins at stores and fork over 10-20 dollars for (imo) "the greatest gaming experiencce evvvveeerrrrrr." And much of that comes from the MP experience. Its worth the efforts. I just hope the MP scene is still going strong. . .

The Myth game you want to buy is Myth 2, because

1) M3 bites. Sad,but true.
2) There is a full conversion allowing you to play Myth 1 on Myth 2.

I highly doubt Myth 2 will cost anyone more than 10-12$, even on the internet, so BUY IT, this is not a game to miss.

Does anybody know whether Take 2 actually cares whether you download that Myth 1 for Myth 2 conversion? I haven't seen anything either way, but if they view it as illegal, that is software piracy and posting about it is against the forum rules.

Can anybody clear this up?

If it is illegal, I wouldn't really care, because I despise Take 2. I doubt T2 would care either, because it's not currently a popular game.

It's illegal. They haven't made the game freeware yet...so, yea it would be illegal for someone to post a link to the full version of either game.

Actually, in this news post at Myth.bungie.org, Zandervix says that The Fallen Levels (vTFL) is a "third party creation", and therefore doesn't fall under copyright. I'd say that this is blurring the lines between 3rd party creations and copyrighted software, but that's what it considered as, at least at MBO (and the Project Magma team I suppose, as well as the multitudes who already have it).

Considering that Project Magma hasn't been in any strife (aside from the Blades incident, which doesn't mean anything, since Blades was an A-grade spammer) over vTFL/The Fallen Levels, and they haven't tried to hide what the Fallen Levels plug-in actually is, I'm guessing that the legal issue is pretty much moot. But don't take that as the truth until somebody confirms it!

There hasn't been any legal problems that I've heard of.
