In the very end of Halo 3 You see our beloved Chief floating in space. With nothing around him but space, space, and well more space. That is in till you see a planet come into the cameras view. Only to show it for a few seconds. But during those few seconds i was able to gather plenty of clues. In my opinion it seems chief didn't get blasted into a different part of our universe. I think what could have happened is the blast of the arc was so catastrophic that it did indeed sent chief to a different part of the universe but also a different time. Hard to have guessed i know XD. But most people believe that he was sent to the Marathon universe 200 years after Halo. But in my theory instead of being sent to the future he is sent to the past. Back just before Reach. And the planet we saw at the end of Halo 3 is Reach. Also to help my theory The game reach that was announced During E3 if you look at the planet in the trailer and the one at the end of Halo 3 they look almost the same.

Even at the begging of the Halo: Reach Trailer it says "From the Beginning you know the end"
Beginning meaning Chief already knows what happens to Reach. He is after all he is one of the remaining survivors. I'm guessing your going to be chief hes going to crash or something winding up on the planet. He will recognize the surroundings and try to warn the U.N.S.C of a covenant attack. So he can save people from falling into Reaches horrible fate......again....

Post your thoughts! And thank you for taking your time to read this! I recommendation let the video fully load be for pushing play.

WoW is like Girls Gone Wild without the tits: idiots and douches taking turns doing anything to get noticed, and no one knows what a condom looks like.

So old and wrong, its about as funny as this.

No, no. It's fine if you didn't know. It's an interesting theory, but I'm positive that its not true.

Haters are going to hate.
Praisers are going to praise.

The Bungie Forums are what keeps my mind sharp and my fingers active, between writing my own movie scripts, drawing, and studying industrial design. At the moment I'm working on miniatures for a short movie that I'll hopefully be able to film once I've saved up for a camera... That's me, with the mug, trying to have a conversation with Konoko.

If Chief goes back in time, why Reach, why not Harvest or the french revolution? Its to bloody convenient!

By the power of truth, I, while living, have conquered the universe.

Time travel doesn't work. Not only have Bungie consistently said they'd never sink to such a level, it's completely stupid.

The Fall of Reach is a fixed point in history as it leads to the fall of thousands of lives, most of the Spartans and the discovery of Installation 04. Were it an event in Flux then maybe but it's not going to be time travel.

Yes it is convienient! Or you could say....lucky.... Since we all know Chief is lucky. And trust me he is.... It could be his destiny to save Reach or at least warn them. you know?

Time travel doesn't work like that.

If chief went back in time at the end of Halo 3, then he would of already changed the events of history, and then he wouldn't of ended up going back in time in the first place. It's a paradox. Time travel CAN. NOT. WORK.

My new B.net account is Grizzled Ancient. If you see him, its me.

the only way for that to work would be tht the slipspace speed was amped up ALOT and they achieved time travel. look, know ur new, but for that to work, there would now be two chiefs in the games

Why is his gamertag thatlolguy?

The games a prequel. If the game had Master Chief come back from the past the game would be a sequel. Not a prequel? Geddit? Okay? Now let's move along.
