Hello, This is Funnymann1 I'm not a regular topic poster but I felt the need to post this. Please enjoy.

We all remember the days of Halo 1 LAN parties and playing the campaign over and over again. Well, some of you may remember that in Halo 1 you were unable to do "fly" towards your enemies to melee them(I say fly because you can press melee from 15 ft away and hit the person). In Halo 1 you needed to actually get up close into your enemies face and hit them. I found this to be quiet an awessome addition to the game and feel it changes the way you play game campaign wise and in multiplayer.

I would love to see this be used in Halo 3 ODST considering also you are no longer a Spartan who is able to jump that far towards his/her enemies to finish them off with a melee.

I ask the community what do you think of this idea?

Only use the YES and NO option please.
Thank you.

Halo: CE Anniversary Achievement Idea
C-C-C-CANNON BREAKER!
Let Sgt. Johnson die on Halo.

You really only need a "Yes" and a "No" option for this.

In short, yes, it would be a cool idea.

Oh Halo 1. You guys should stop using the CE because its stand for Halo Custom Edition. While the CE In halo 1 is Combat Evolved but we simply don't care about the CE, it add confusion.

It's called Halo 3:ODST for a reason. No big gameplay changes. The only things that changes is going from spartan to ODST. That doesn't merit a melee system change.

EDIT: I see what you mean. The only thing that might change is the lunge distance.

It would be a good idea, and would improve gameplay, but it won't happen.

Okay but than explain to me why they decided to put in fall damage, health packs, lower jump height and slower running.
They included that bacause your an ODST. Another change they could have is to not have you "fly" at your opponet with a melee but have to get up close.

What is a good thing is that you actually had to have skills in Halo to melee your opponents while in Halo 3 you only had to aim and be at X distance and you will melee your target 90% of the time (the 10% are for lag, collision bug, building blocking the way and of course, your death). Is like a minor aimbot for n00bs if you ask me.

Since ODST we only fight against AIs (and if you want, teammates) I have no preference, In fact, I will enjoy having the "aimbot" again. In opposition, I would prefer having the "Halo 1" melee in Halo: Reach because it seems more like game with big war, which mean lots of ennemies which mean I don't want auto-melee. In comparaison, Halo 1 , 2 and 3 are more like tiny fight for survival while on Reach, our military planet....
Even the MP seems big and we didn't even saw a single picture from it.

Hi there.

One thing I would like to see changed was how the melee looked. Remember how the sniper had a different melee, or you flip your pistol when you melee with it. That would be awesome to bring back. I would like something like this, but isn't their no multiplayer for this game except for the Halo 3 disk? For Firefight it has no effect, so I don't really see the importance of it.

It's easily mixed up, CE can stand for Combat Evolved, Or Custom Edition.
Anyways, for the whole beat down thing, it doesnt make a difference to me, but i suppose it makes sense.

They said they could do more with the game engine that they thought they could. They are also using a new shading system.

Ya, fall damage, health packs, lower jump height a slower running is because of the change from spartan to ODST. A whole new melee system isn't part of that. Just a less further lunge, clearly.
