Here's what I got:

23 September 2517
Halsey's SPARTAN-II project begins, with primary research conducted on the planet Reach in the Epsilon Eridani system. Seventy-five children of both sexes are subjected to an intense program of physical and mental retraining and technological augmentation, including reinforced skeletal structure and improved musculature.

1 September 2520
Spirit of Fire completes an extensive refit at the Reach orbital shipyards before entering active military duty as a ground support vessel, initially detailed with providing ground support for Operation TREBUCHET.

3 February 2525
Contact with the agricultural colony Harvest is lost. Initial attempts to re-establish contact fail. The worst is feared. Meanwhile, in orbiting ONI facilities near Reach, surgical procedures to augment the SPARTAN-II candidates are about to begin. Many candidates will "wash out"- dead or crippled by the process.

7 October 2525
Battle group D arrives at Harvest and engages the Covenant, but is forced to jump away back to Reach after two of its three ships are destroyed by a single Covenant vessel. An audio-only message was transmitted by the Covenant during this engagement: "Your destruction is the will of the gods... and we are their instrument." It is believed that because the message was transmitted in English, the Covenant have been studying humanity for some time.

27 August 2552
Twenty-five of the twenty-eight surviving SPARTAN-IIs, including SPARTAN-117, are recalled to Reach to be briefed on the Covenant threat and to receive their new orders:board a damaged Covenant vessel, use a "mission specialist" to crack the Covenant computer system, and locate the Covenant homeworld. Once accomplished, a covert team will be dispatched to capture the Covenant leadership and broker a truce by force. Despite recent successes, the human military is being systematically slaughtered, and this may be the only chance for survival.

30 August 2552-0400 hours
Reach, the home of ONI's CASTLE facility and the Spartan-II project, is attacked by and overwhelming Covenant force. The vessel Pillar of Autumn, Captain Keyes commanding, transports Spartans into battle, hoping to seize a Covenant vessel. Though the Covenant are prevented from learning Earth's location, most of the Spartans fall in battle and Reach is lost.

30 August 2552-0500 hours
Pillar of Autumn, commanded by Captain Keyes, flees Reach with Covenant ships in pursuit. The ship is heavily damaged, but manages to drop into slipspace and escape. Pillar of Autumn carries the only Spartan thought to have ever survived the engagement on Reach.

That is all I can get from the Halo Wars Timeline.

-blam!- the Free World!!!!

Interesting. I've been working on the timeline for a long time and there really isn't "news" to the Halo series from there...

-You look like you could suck a golf ball through a waterhose.

Halo Wars isn't technically cannon because Bungie didn't make it. Their is a bunch of contradictions in Halo Wars that don't go with Halo.

Ugh...

First on a BWU.. yeah, I'm cool.

ODST;MYTHIC Screenshot winner! One of the first to get their hands on the mythic map pack.

Much more can be learnt from the books "The Fall of Reach" and "First Strike".

Though I am only almost done "The Fall of Reach" and I haven't started "First Strike", the information you posted is in "The Fall of Reach" and isn't a total; "zOMg I nevar N3W taht!"

He never said it was going to be. To be honest it informed me with knowledge I didn't have before and I thank him for it. Not everybody reads the Halo books.

Here’s what Luke had to say about the differences in treatment between the Spartans and Elites in Reach:

“Instead of piece-by-piece customization like the Spartans, Elite customization is a full model swap with models selected from the various Elite classes appearing throughout the Campaign. There are all kinds of reasons for this, not the least of which is our continued emphasis on the Spartan as your identity in Reach.”

I thought there were more Spartans.

TRU7H. I'm an open rejector to Halo Wars. It served no purpose but fun and should not be counted canon in the Halo Universe. My common term for content like this is "A book within a book". Such as ILB, I see it as someone within the Halo series writes a book about it. So non-canon in my eyes. But I think Microsoft accepts it as canon (as if it matters what they think).

The info looks fine though. Nothing too wrong. Reading the books would give a little more info on Reach.

I think thats pro Cole Protocol and means they would have to use a random vector upon escape. Returning to Reach would have taken a long time. Since an arrival date isn't provided, they probably didn't make it back.

Funny thing is, Halo Wars IS cannon. Bungie approved the story, and they took information from the Halo bible(whch contans everything in the Halo-verse). Ensemble sneaked the Flood in. Since the Spirit of Fire was in space, there was no way to get this info to ONI. So, technically, Halo: CE was the first recorded incident with the Flood. It didn't contradict that part of the story. However, I think that Bungie and Ensemble should have just avoided the Flood for Campaign all together, as it would avoid all misconceptions regarding the Flood.

Why do people hate Halo Wars? I have loved halo from the beging, it was my first FPS. I am into RTS to and when i played Halo Wars i wasnt mad. It's the best RTS for the 360, but people hate it. Is it becuse Bungie didnt make it? Bungie would never go to RTS so they had to swich makers.

True. Now that I think about it having the -blam!- beat out of you with a pool ball in a tube sock by your degenerate pimp is the better choice.

This ^

The SoF was stranded, no slipspace drive. How could they get back to the colonies, or earth, to tell them about the flood?

so by your logic the books aren't canon?... cause the books weren't made by someone from bungie (except Joesph Staten's contact harvest)

halo wars has some plot problems, but so do all the books and the games (how did Johnson get to earth before the chief?) so yes halo wars is technically canon.
