im not sure how this could work i just want to to get some opinions on whether it is a good idea and maybe some ideas of how it could be driven since you would probably need an entire squad of men to man it

Let there be light, created from fire

I am all i am, i am a team player(when im not pissed), i make great strategies, i will punch you in the face after armor locking, you have to be at sniper distance to not get headshot by my DMR or pistol, wraiths beware, i am DxXOrangesXxD and i am ready to rumble! (When Halo 4 comes out cause Reach is nothing but crap players now)

as a cartoon character once said "its not just big its WAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYY BIG" too large for the engine most likly

Rule 6: Respect the Admins

“It’s their website, and they can do whatever the hell they like with it. You’re a guest, and hassling them about how they run things is akin to going round your Auntie’s house and curling one out in her tea-pot.”

No, Because the scarab isn't a vehicle, It's many of the worm creatures used to make hunters.

I actually think this would be a very cool idea, if it could be worked into the gameplay. Driving a Scarab would be a tough feat, considering it has to walk, fire the main cannon on the front, and also fire the cannon on the top back. If a crew was used to operate it, the driver could drive/fire the main cannon while a second player operates the cannon on the back. It'd be the second cannon operator's job to guard the vulnerable backside of the Scarab where the reactor coils are. And for those of you who say you can't drive one because they're made of the same colonies of worm creatures hunters are made out of, then you clearly don't recall the last level of Halo 2 where Johnson drives and operates the Scarab. I think it'd be a difficult to fit into the gameplay, but if it could be done it'd be a very impressive and exciting part of the game.

They could maybe just barly fit it into campaign but it would be hard on the engine maybe

As seen in Assembly, and confirmed by Bungie, the scarabs are driven by a huge colony of Lekgolo (the worms that make up Hunters). It would be impossible to drive them in the first pace. Also, they're too damn big and balance goes right out the window, because they're impossible to kill with regular means. In short, no, Scarabs should not be drivable.
