Everyone, read the -blam!- post.
The whole point is that most of us are paying for the maps twice.
How does that make any sense? It is nice to put them in as a gift, but as part of the game?
It probably is $20/$60. So we are paying $40 for 2 maps.I just look at ODST being worth the price, that is all. What with Firefight and all that.
You can take my posts as seriously as you want.
Bungie did state that their game has grown to more than just an expansion. They've said it multiple times. I wish I could agree, but they haven't said how much it's grown.
On a previous post I showed how hard it would be to add new content to ODST's campaign, since when Bungie suggested a price (when they said it was 35 dollars) they must have been practically finished.
This leads me to believe that in reality, ODST itself, didn't grow at all. Instead, Microsoft saw that they could charge $60 dollars for this. Bungie, knowing that their game wasn't really worth $60, tried to account for the price by adding old content. Now, I agree that they made it an spectacular bargain for those without Halo 3 or any of the map packs. However what about their fans? What about those that did buy Halo 3 and most of the map packs? Well, that's a sacrifice that MS/Bungie is apparently willing to take.
"If you want ODST pay up for what you already paid" - Microsoft
Bungie tried their best to justify for the price tag, (that's why I love em <3) but unfortunately that doesn't make any difference.
I come here not to complain at Bungie for not packing content. I come here to try and show people that they are being exploited. I would go to MS's site and argue there but I have to get support beforehand. But I realize now that Bungie.net's members and maybe even staff are too stubborn to realize this.
Please Bungie.net, you are my only hope.
