The Monk Is Coming!!!
GT=L337Monk

Over the 4th of July weekend, I found myself with a large amount of driving time and precious little quality listening material so i burned a copy of the ILB audio to listen to again. While it's highly possible that all the references to Old/New Mombosa are entirely related to the release of Halo 2, I couldn't help but think how amazing Bungie would be if they tied the ILB story arc into this game (there have been a few other references to this in other threads mostly questioning whether ILB is cannon or not). Anyway, pertinent references could include:

1. Kevin Morales reference to a weapons stash in Old Mombasa when attempting to recruit Jan into the Spartan 1.1 team.

2. The transfer of Col. Herzogs' assistant to a New Mombosa diplomatic post just before Standish killed him.

3. Possible appearance of Durga since the ODST team won't have a dedicated AI tasked to them.

While it is pretty thin data to support a direct tie, I think if anyone has the dedication to spinning a good story and could pull this off, Bungie can...

" Truth? You will Never know Truth!"

"My tears cannot cover the blood that has been spill."

"I lead my troops into battle. With strong morale and man power, we will overcome the invaders!"

Sorry not trying to be rude, but what is ILB?

Edit-Okay now I know what it is. :P

ILM was this story where a Spartan I was killed by a gang and his wife (also a Spartan-I) and daughter (a Spartan-I.I) set out for revenge. There were also two other stories going on (one about a AI, I can't remember the other one).
It stands for I Love Bees.

Ugh, no. Please don't start the whole ILB thing again. It's just a bunch of random crap Bungie threw together to satisfy our thirst for more content before Halo 2 (I think) came out.

The ILB story arc was extremely well thought out and gave an incredibly interesting look at some of the civilian side of life in the Halo universe. To those who didn't know what ILB is, it was (as mentioned a few posts up) a viral marketing campaign just before Halo 2 was released. It followed a damaged smart AI possibly nearing rampancy named Durga and a group of humans that helped her investigate an unknown covenant artifact just before the covenant arrived on earth under the command of Regret.
