At 1:32 it says, "Hold RB to pry open Drop pod"

now, if that isn't evidence of finding another ODST in this game... i don't know what is. unless the ODST in the drop pod is dead, you might actually have a partner as the rookie. that is unless your playing in a flashback, which in that case, one of your objectives is to round up surviving ODST's in the city.

I don't know for sure. what do you guys think?

EDIT: sorry for the horrible grammar.

We know.

This part of the campaign could easily be a part of a flashback.

Your link isn't going to the correct place!

  • 07.05.2009 3:32 PM PDT

Link fails. But I know where you're getting at.

if knowledge is power and power corrupts, isn't knowledge therefore dangerous?
Black Tower

I love how people always forget that drop-pods were also used to drop down weapons and supplies.

Well even if you had the correct link, there's probably a note inside that reads

"Your teammate is in another pod"

Those are the mini-drop pods we see in Halo 2. I've read all the books, played all the games, and have not seen/read about that. Pics or it didn't happen.

From where I paused the video, I can't clearly tell if the background is more day or night. We'll just have to wait this one out to see when this scene takes place.

Graham 8D: 21 and didn't get. Not really bothered tho :) I just want that sexy body and one shoulder..

Your grammar actually makes sense, though.

There are two things on this forum that piss me off;
Idiots and group invites.
What's even worse, is that I can never seem to get away from either of them ¬_¬

Yes, you are right, but in case you didn't notice, that was a manned drop pod. or are you suggesting that someone on the ship said "Hey, lets send down supplies in this pod designed for soldiers and completely forget about those perfectly good supply drop pods over there."

And although you have a point OP, this isn't proof, it's speculation. All that tells uus it that you have to open a drop pod. It does not tell us what will happen when we do. Maybe we'll find a team mate staring back at us. With cold, dead eyes maybe? If they didn't get themselves out, then it's actually more likley that they died on impact. Happens y'know.

Don't need pics. In The Cole Protocol a Mongoose is dropped via HEV into the battle on the moon at which the Redoubt is located. Why coulddn't the same be done for weapons, particularly heavier weapons such as turrets or anti-vehicle weapons?

  • 07.05.2009 4:01 PM PDT

Yeah, as said above it could have just been used for weapons. Also, there were (I don't know the numbers) a lot of other ODSTs dropping down too. We don't know that they all died.

hm that sounds cool, but it says hold B to open drop pod just saying.

  • 07.05.2009 4:16 PM PDT

Yeah, but the default is RB, he's just playing on Bumper Jumper/Walkie-Talkie/etc.

  • 07.05.2009 4:18 PM PDT

Кланяються мені!

speculation, I believe its just weapons

  • 07.05.2009 5:42 PM PDT

Whether or not that is an instance where you would discover a lost teammate('s pod), the objective of ODST is to find the squad members you were separated from, as it states on the ODST Project Page
