Reach gets war-torn, which makes me think of Fallout 3.
If they combined Reach and Fallout 3, what would some features be?

UPDATE!
If you never played Fallout 3 before, try looking something up on youtube, I'd make a link
but youtube is not responding.

Fallout 3 is an open world role playing game that takes place in a wasteland about 200 years after a nuclear war. In the game you interact with the local people/ creatures after you emerge from an underground bomb shelter called a "vault". lots of unique weapons and there are many moral choices to make such as to blow up a nuke and take a city with it for lots of money or save the city and disarm the bomb. It is a very fun game as explorationn is one of the key gamelplay elements, there is a gigantic map to exlplore with over 100 locations. One of my personal favorite things to do was to pick a direction and just walk to see what i could find. it is a very rewarding game to play and i can see how halo's universe would lend extremely well to a game like this but im not sure id jump on a genre like this right away to expand halo. theres alot of dialogue and if you were to play as chief it wouldnt feel right because youd be talking waaay too much

Ugh...

First on a BWU.. yeah, I'm cool.

ODST;MYTHIC Screenshot winner! One of the first to get their hands on the mythic map pack.

Please stop talking about making other games that you like Halo. It makes me sick.

So you essentially want Bungie to consult Bethesda so that Halo can be an rpg rather than an fps?

How about a pretty map editor like Far Cry 2 has?

The addons to the campaign like an in-depth map dev for multiplayer would be amazing.

I apologize for stealing your thunder, I meant to give you props and you got offended in the process.

The Halo series dosen't need to start taking ideas from other games, It revolutionized the FPS genre once it can do it again without taking stuff from other inferior games/series.

youre right however
its just that if bungie is going to put a beta out for a new game its pretty obvious that the multiplayer/experience will be completely and totally different
so different in fact that they want to test it out a year early so they have time to toy with it
it wouldnt make much sense for their to be a public beta test if the multiplayer was going to be what weve seen already
theyd just use the data from halo 3
and we arent trying to say that halo should take things from other games that be inferior or not, had good ideas
we are just saying what would be cool and making sure everybody understands what we are saying by throwing out a name of a game that attempted to use that feature

It would be pretty insane if they put reach+fallout 3. But that is kind of what Halo 3: ODST is going to be: Open world environment, just like fallout 3. But bungie would really have to be committed into making all the side quests and main quests and a very big world to play on. But if they combined reach+fallout 3, it would be pretty sickk.
